My Meadow is a new stamp set from the Stampin’ Up!® 2020 Mini Catalogue and is available to purchase now.
Welcome to my blog … Today I am participating in the Global Design Project Challenge #220, a Colour Challenge, and also showcasing new product from the new 2020 Mini Catalogue. This was a challenging colour scheme for me to work with.
My Meadow Stamp Set …
My Meadow is a scene building stamp set, produced to co-ordinate with other scene building stamp sets such as Waterfront and Snow Front.
I have created a little Triptych, creating small scenes with the My Meadow stamp set.
Following the colour challenge, I have used Early Espresso, Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler inks on Whisper White cardstock to create each scene, carrying the Cherry Cobbler flowers through each panel. They have been die cut with the square shapes from the Stitched Shape Dies, and then very lightly sponged around the edges with Shaded Spruce ink.
I couldn’t find any Designer Series Paper that was primarily Early Espresso to use as the background layer, so I used the woodgrain pattern from Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is Soft Suede based. I applied Early Espresso ink with a Sponge Brayer to create a dark woodgrain look panel, which has been adhered to an Early Espresso cardstock layer.
Label Me Bold Stamp Set
The sentiment is also featuring a new set from the Mini Catalogue … possibly a set that is easy to overlook, but will be a very useful staple in any stamp collection … Label Me Bold.
Add a wrap and bow in Linen Thread before popping up the three panels with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
An Alternative in Very Vanilla …
The same design on a Very Vanilla base, with the sponging in Early Espresso, gives an aged look.
Pop on over to the Global Design Project page to see many different variations of this challenging colour scheme.
