Bundle of Love – Go For Greece Blog Hop

Bundle of Love Header

Bundle of Love Memories & More Card Pack … it’s gorgeous, it’s retiring, so get it before it’s gone.

Go For Greece Blog Hop Header

I am using the Bundle of Love Making Memories Card pack to create a Mother’s Day Card for the Go For Greece Blog Hop.  We are a group of demonstrators in a training/mentoring group call “Go For Greece”, organised and headed up by the fabulous Kylie Bertucci. If you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator head on over to Kylie’s Demonstrator Training group for a taste of Kylie’s generous and infectious personality.

Petal Palette meets Bundle of Love

Bundle of Love and Petal Palette

That striped background … isn’t it amazing?  Just like my Mum!   Well I should say my Mums … I have my original Mum and then a few other Mums I have been lucky enough to inherit. They are all amazing!

Anyway, I digress … The amazing striped background is a card from the Bundle of Love Memories and More card pack. This pack is actually focussed on babies, with soft pink and pale blue, mixed up with black, vanilla and touches of gold.   Cute and elegant all rolled into one.

Bundle of Love Memories and More

I have used my ever ready “reach for” stamp set Petal Palette …  those roses are just perfect for a Mum’s Day card (or Mom’s day card for my US friends).

Close up of Roses

The Very Vanilla background gives a lovely soft and elegant feel. Here are some of the design elements of this card …

Stitched Rectangle – I have created a rectangle shape using the largest square die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. If you roll the square die through half way the big shot and then back out, shift the die and let it slot back into the stitches, and roll it half way through from the other direction, you get a rectangle.

Soft background – stamp off background images to create a softer feel that won’t take away from the focal point. Yes, even black ink can be soft if you stamp it off first.

Feature Roses – Rather than colour the whole Petal Palette roses image, I stamped a second time with Cherry Cobbler ink and then coloured the roses only with Cherry Cobbler ink and a Blender Pen. The coloured roses were trimmed out and then given some dimension by rubbing the back of them with something rounded on a Stampin’ Pierce Mat (I used the end of my bone folder). Add a Stampin’ Dimensional just in the middle of each rose and adhere over the non-coloured image.

Customise your greeting – The Thoughtful Banners stamp set is perfect for creating your own custom greeting. The words are small enough to trim out by hand and place to best suit your feature image.

Thoughtful Banners Greeting

The Making Memories card packs are a great investment … they are so versatile and are perfect for card making as well as memory keeping. I love that I always have ready made greetings and backgrounds on hand for a quick card when I need one in a hurry. This card was a breeze to put together because I took my colour cues from the card pack itself.  The Very Vanilla was a  perfect match for the black and Cherry Cobbler.

The Go For Greece girls are all wonderful and inspiring paper artists … set yourself up with a cuppa and hop around and check out what they all have to offer. Don’t forget to leave some comment love .. we all work hard to create inspirational projects and really appreciate every comment.
