Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop – Pastels

Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop – Pastels

Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop Header

Welcome to a Scrapbook sort of Sunday! For April, this very talented group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are creating in Pastel Colours using Stampin’ Up! products.

Scrapbook Sunday Pastels

Usually I prefer to memory keep with pocket pages, but when I have a favourite photo, I like to feature it in a 12″ x 12″ layout. This photo of my granddaughter Estella and her Mum Lauren is simply gorgeous. Being black and white, I was able to choose the pastel colours I liked … I chose Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.

Scrapbook Sunday Pastels

The background is created on Whisper White cardstock, with Embossing Paste randomly applied through one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Once dry it has been sponged with Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum inks.

The photo has been matted with a Whisper White piece of card, also sponged with Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach inks.

Using the Pattern Party Decorative Masks again, I have added some sponged clouds with Sweet Sugarplum ink. The flowers and leaves are die cut with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies from Whisper White cardstock and sponged with Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum inks.  The leaves have been sponged very lightly to add just a touch of colour.

The Painted Love Gold Vinyl Stickers have been used to add touches of gold throughout the layout.

The photo says it all, so my journalling is just names and date.

I hope you enjoyed this memory keeping project. It is great to have such a wealth of talent in this hop, providing great ideas for using Stampin’ Up! products in your Memory Keeping projects. Make sure you visit everyone’s blog.  Next up is Valérie Perlin.

Did you know that both Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum inks will be retiring at the end of May (or until stocks are exhausted). If you really like these colours, jump in quick and get them ink pads and refills before they disappear forever. Here is the rest of the retiring list of products from the Occasions Catalogue and the Annual Catalogue.

The Painted Love Vinyl Stickers are also retiring at the end of May, which is a real shame as they are just gorgeous to work with, particularly with Memory Keeping projects.
