Snowfall Thinlits Dies and Snow is Glistening Limited Time Products
Hello and welcome to the November Tutorial Bundle Design Team blog hop!
We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who prepare 12 tutorials each month and collate them into one fabulous tutorial bundle. Here is a little Sneak Peek of this month’s tutorials.
This month the bundle contains tutorials for:-
– lots of Christmas Card ideas,
– great Christmas gift packaging,
– the most adorable Christmas ornament,
– lots of projects using the limited time Snowflake Showcase products (available only in November)
– step by step instructions with loads of pics.
The Tutorial Bundles are based on currently available supplies from Stampin’ Up! and have both metric and imperial (inches) measurements. So no matter where you live in the world, you can purchase the tutorial and will be able to create the projects.
All currencies accepted. Paypal will do the conversion for you.
We are kicking off the release of the NovemberTutorial Bundle with a blog hop to showcase each of the designers. Be sure to visit everyone’s blog for a little taste of the quality and variety in this tutorial bundle.
My project today uses the same products as the one in my tutorial, however it is a different project to that in the tutorial bundle. It is a slightly different way to use the same set. Remember this is not the project in the tutorial. The projects in the Tutorial Bundle are exclusive and you won’t see them anywhere else.
Snowflake Showcase Limited Time Products
November is the month to get fabulous new products in the Snowflake Showcase suite. There are two fabulous stamp sets and a massive set of dies, plus some White Velvet Sheets and Snowflake Trinkets. One stamp set features, you guessed it …. snowflakes. The other is a more “non Christmasy” set which also co-ordinates with the Snowfall Thinlit Dies.
Here is a sneak peek of my project in the tutorial bundle.
My project for the blog hop today features the Snow is Glistening stamp set also, but in a totally different way.
I have created my “blizzard” with Mint Macaron ink and the border snowflake stamp from the Snow is Glistening stamp set. Did you know that this image is the exact right measurement to use with the Hinge Step Technique in the Stamparatus? It is the Two Step Hinge Technique … lol, as you have to move the plate down two hinges.
The larger snowflakes are stamped with Fresh Fig and Blackberry Bliss. This is a very dark colour for snowflakes, so to soften them a little, I die cut co-ordinating snowflakes out of White Vellum and attached them with a glue dot in the centre. The glue dot will show through the vellum, but the added adhesive rhinestones covers it right up. The little vellum “snowflake arms” will curl up a little. This gives the card a lovely ethereal look to the snowflakes, However if the waving arms on the larger snowflake worry you, use a toothpick to add a small amount of liquid glue under each arm and hold in place until they stick.
The centre strip is cut from the White Velvet Sheet and has been stamped with the spotty stamp from the Snow is Glistening stamp set. Just quietly, this stamp is also perfectly sized to use with the Hinge Step Technique on the Stamparatus. And double bonus, you can use the Two Step Hinge Technique with oriented one way and if you flip it 90 degrees, it also works with the One Step Hinge Technique.
The gorgeous snowflake embellishment is snowflakes die cut from Mint Macaron card, White Vellum and Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. They are all adhered together with a Snowflake Trinket added right at the end in the centre. It has it’s own little rhinestone!
I simply love the greeting …. Sending a blizzard of wishes for a wonderful season. I have stamped it with Fresh Fig ink, and die cut it with the label die from the Merry Christmas Thinlits dies …a perfect fit. The sponged edges are Mint Macaron.
A wrap around of Silver Metallic Thread completes the card!
