Joyful Season Softly Falling

Joyful Season Softly Falling

Softly Falling is such a perfect name for the embossing folder used in this project. I have combined it with my featured Xmas stamp set this month …. Joyful Season!

Joyful Season Softly FallingEmbossed on Whisper White cardstock, the graduated textural dots really do resemble snow! But they could also be bubbles, rain, sand when used with other colours/themes.  Here I have embossed the card front after stamping the berry boughs. I just popped the front of the folded card in the embossing folder pushing the fold as close to the edge as possible and wrapping the back of the card to the back of the embossing folder … then ran it through the big shot without using any shim tabs. There is just a small area close to the fold without dots, but I will bet you didn’t even notice until I pointed it out! 🙂

Close up of Christmas Greetings Thinlets Diecut

I added some Real Red cardstock (also embossed) and a strip of gold striped vellum from Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack along the bottom.  The “Merry” is a Christmas Greetings Thinlit Die, cut out of Gold Foil Sheet, and stamped one of the greetings from Joyful Season in Real Red ink and trimmed out the word Christmas. *Tip: Use the Fine Point Glue Pen for attaching finely detailed die cuts! It is perfect!

Adding Bling to the Softly Falling Embossing Folder

The cardinal (sans legs for fussy cutting ease) is popped up with Dimensionals and finally, some Pearl Basic Jewels are added between the embossed dots at the top, just to add a subtle touch of bling! My poor cardinal is used to being legless, he is getting right into the Christmas spirit! 🙂
