Here is a sneak peek of my project in the tutorial bundle for January which features the Forever & Always stamp set and die bundle and the True Love Designer Series Paper. I have created a three panel gift card holder for the tutorial bundle project,

Forever & Always Bundle
My tutorial bundle project is “pretty” as well as striking, quite feminine. For my blog hop project today, I have taken a totally different direction and created a card that would be very suitable for the significant male in your life.

This card is quite simple to create … especially if you use the Adhesive Sheets when die cutting all the detailed love words. Having the adhesive on the back of the these fine letters makes the job of applying the words super easy.
As the card is square, I did create a matching envelope. My gift card holder in the tutorial bundle is square also, and don’t worry if you don’t have any envelope maker, I have supplied templates in the tutorial to create an envelope to match.
Here are some close up images of the cards.
Use Designer Series paper to create an envelope

Design Tips …
- Frame the different layers with very fine matts, as I have done with the Real Red around the focal layer and a very fine black matt layer behind the Designer Series Paper Layer.
- Adhesive Sheet is your best friend when die cutting detailed dies. Simply apply it to one side of your card before die cutting, and voila … instant sticker! No messy glue.
- Using tone on tone cardstock for the die cuts all over the background, creates a textured feel without being too busy.
- Apply the die cuts in full to the card front layer, and then trim off any overhanging edges.
- Create a matching envelope, using some of the elements from the card to be all matchy matchy!

Don’t forget the inside …

I love that you can take what is a very romantic looking suite of products and create a project that !!

That is so striking Cheryll – what a great idea to make a feature background with the die cut. The script / font used for the love has a wonderful flourish!
Thank you Karen … yes, I was really happy how the word Love looked repeated like this. xxx
I love your die-cut background
Thank you Wendy! xx
