Around the World on Wednesday

Welcome once again to Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop, travelling around the world through every time zone. You may be starting here or you may have come from the fabulous Rochelle Laird-Smith’s Blog.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop is the brainchild of Angie McKenzie, a wonderful friend and amazing paper artist. My name is Cheryll Miller, and I am so delighted to be a part of this varied and talented group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators.

Dapper Mouse and Lovely Lamb introduce …

The Menagerie Mix Up Gang are retiring … my something “old”, but shhhh, don’t tell any of my cute little menagerie that. Before they go, I asked them to introduce something new from the upcoming Stampin’ Up!® Jan – Jun 2020 Mini Catalogue …. the Handsomely Suited Bundle from the Well Suited Suite of products.

Dapper Mouse and Lovely Lamb are both sporting the two bow ties from the Handsomely suited bundle, stamped, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and die cut. Didn’t they do a fabulous job showing us how to use the Handsomely Suited stamps and Suite and Tie dies in different ways? If you want to see how the Suit & Tie dies and Handsomely Suited stamp set are intended to be used, scroll down to the bottom of this post!

Teddy in a Handsomely Suited Pocket …

Menagerie Mix Up meets Handsomely Suited

Gah! How adorable is this little glass eyed teddy?? His eyes are created with the buttons from Handsomely Suited bundle. I marked in the embossed stitching and then added some Fine Tip Glue to create the glass look. Teddy also sports some buttons on his front and his neck tie is the Night of Navy twine from the Well Suited Twine Combo Pack.

He is tucked into the pocket die from the Suit & Tie dies, and the bright stitched strips of 2020-2022 Designer Series Paper are cut from the braces die out of the Suit & Tie dies.

Other elements to this adorable card …. The large circle is from the Stitched Shapes Dies. The Welcome word is from the Well Written dies, die cut three times and stacked to create height. “Baby” comes from the co-ordinating Well Said stamp set. And the bling is a scattering of 2020-2022 Enamel Dots.

Oh Moo Goodness …

How can you not love these cows??? I had seen that Debbie Muche had made some adorable “short cows” with black and white patches from the Menagerie Mix Up bundle … see her post here. Debbie has some pretty amoozing cow puns! lol

And I just had to create my own herd of cows. And I had to put them on a loooong card to fit them all in the paddock.

Every time I see these type of dairy cows (I think they are Jersey cows) out in a paddock I want to give them a big hug. Usually there is a fence between me and the cows though …. and I think I love my fence as much as I love my cows. It is created with the brace die and the small pocket top stitched die from the Suit & Tie Dies. I die cut the posts and rails from a piece of Cinnamon Cider woodgrain patterned paper (2020-2022 In Colour Designer Series Paper 6″ x 6″ stack). And then I built the fence with glue dots (no post hole digger required).

To add some extra interest to my cows, I created a little “spring” with a circle of cardstock cut into a coil and attached it to two of the cows heads so they wobble around on the page! TOOOOO CUTE!!!! (did i mention I love cows!)

Menagerie Mix Up for birthdays …

Prior to this hop, I had only used the Menagerie Mix Up set once … creating this card for my husband for his birthday recently. I fell in love instantly … this is a set that will stay on my shelf. These animals are super cute and my grandkids are going to have a ball putting together all the different body parts to make fantastical creatures.

My husbands birthay card was supposed to be a bear, but he does look a little koala-ish! And there is nothing from the Handsomely Suited bundle in this card, I just threw it in to share it. But you could use the “A Happy Birthday to You” stamp from the Handsomely Suited Stamp Set as the sentiment!!

Menagerie Mix Up Birthday

This one was so easy to put together … stamp, colour with Stampin’ Blends and adhere. The birthday sentiment is from the Many Mates stamp set and the words at the bottom from the Meant to Be Stamp Set.

I am so excited to see how all my fellow AWOW Tag Team have interpreted this theme this month.
