I am playing along with Global Design Project Colour Challenge #041 today. Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White and Night of Navy are really gorgeous colours to create with!
Swirly Bird stamp set is a firm favourite … every time I use it, I love it even more. And how striking is this great colour combo from GDP for their colour challenge?
There is a reason that the swirly bits are trimmed out and raised up on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals … originally this card was all one layer. However, I forgot to take the excess ink off the embossed areas and ended up with a large inky fingerprint right in the middle of the card. Rather than ditch the card altogether, I trimmed out all the stamped goodness and layered those bits onto a fresh white layer. This gave me the opportunity to add some Sweet Sugarplum splatter as well.
I was really happy with this save! 🙂
Carrying the same images through to the inside of the card finishes the card off nicely.
This is a fabulous colour combination that I have noted to use more often in the future. Check out what everyone else has done with this Colour Challenge over at Global Design Project this week.
