Making Everyday Bright
Welcome to my blog on this second sunday of July … this is Stamping Sunday Second Sunday team’s monthly blog hop hosted by Sara Levin, the Artful Inker. Today we are featuring the Making Christmas Bright suite of products, including the co-ordinating stamp set Making Everyday Bright.
Making Everything Bright

I elected to use the Making Everyday Bright Stamp Set today … and my favourite image from that set, the very cute little penguin in his winter beanie.

A Waddle of Penguins
I was saying I had a whole raft of penguins on their little Berry Burst ice floe, however my husband was quick to inform me that the collective for penguins was a “waddle”. Waddle is such an adorable word.

There is not really very much to this card. Stamp up your penguins, colour the beanies, add some shading, punch out with the Christmas Bulb Builder punch, with the threaded end of the bulb at the foot end of the penguin. Gather them all together on their ice floe … which is a 1 3/4″ circle punch of Berry Burst card. I used the Layering Circle Framelits dies for the white scalloped circle. The words are from Thoughtful Banners stamp set.

And this is the inside of the card! I just had to use that word! Letters are from the Make A Difference stamp set.

Penguin Party Lights
I also used the same image for the party lights on the Mini Gable Box gift packaging. This time I punched them out with the threaded end of the bulb at the top of the penguin, so he would hang the right way.

I punched the screw tops out of Silver Foil Paper. Once I glued these on, the pom poms on the Penguin’s beanies were hidden so I added some Black Faceted Dots to resemble a pom pom.

The Stamping Sunday (second Sunday) team have more great ideas for you using the Make It Bright range of products. Here is the full list of hop participants … visit them all and be inspired.

Thanks and cheers,
Cheryll

Hey Sara, these were a lot of fun to create. I started with just one penguin, but he looked a bit lonely. And what’s better than one very cute penguin? A whole waddle of them! 🙂 xxx
