The Layered Florals 3d Embossing Folder was an eye catcher for me when I first flicked through the new Jan to Apr 2024 Mini Catalogue, and I have combined it with the Detailed Dogwood Stamp Set to create a card inspired by the Colour Inkspiration Challenge #158.

Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder …

The Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder creates an amazingly detailed panel of gorgeous textured florals. And I have paired it with the Detailed Dogwood Stamp Set (a free Sale-A-Bration item) for my project for the Colour Inkspiration Colour Challenge #158.

Step 1. I coloured up a Basic White panel with inks in the challenge colours and Blending Brushes … Blueberry Bushell, Pool Party, Fresh Freesia and Petal Pink.

Step 2. I cut the panel into five equal pieces, and then placed them into the Layered Florals Embossing Folder, lining up the pieces. How amazing is this embossing folder? Just look at the detail in the flowers.

Step 3. Adhere the panels to a folded card front, in order, with a slight gap inbetween, lifting the panels up with Stampin’ Dimensionals … the long edges of the dimensionals sheet work well for this.

Detailed Dogwood Stamp Set …

The flowers are from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set, stamped with Basic Gray ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink and Fresh Freesia, with Pool Party for the leaves. I did fussy cut the flowers and added some Wink of Stella to the petals.

The white die cut stitched circle is from the Stylish Shapes dies. The sentiment is from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set and die bundle. I inked up the Thinking of You sentiment with Versamark and then Basic Gray ink, which keeps the ink wet for long enough to sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat emboss.

Final touch is the addition of my new favourite adhesive embellishments …. the Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots … perfect colours for this colour challenge. Perfect for just about any project really, they have such a wide range of yummy colours in this pack.

Same, same … but different!

While I had all the supplies out on my table, I changed up the design slightly and created a second card. Same supplies, embossing focus on a different area.

I kept the rainbow sponged background using the Colour INKspiration ink colours as an entire panel this time. These colours can be challenging to blend … patience is required. 🙂 Layering the panel onto a Basic White folded card makes a difference as well.

I still used the circular element, but this time I cut the stitched circle die cut into five equal width slices before placing it into the Layered Florals embossing folder, lining up the panels before embossing. I separated the panels slightly before adhering to the rainbow panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Detailed Dogwood feature image is the same, and I used a different sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts bundle. And again, there are those amazing Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots to finish off the card.
