Timeless Charm … a sneak peek of new product coming in July for the Stamping Sunday blog hop for June 2023.
Stamping Sunday is a group of demonstrators from around the world who get together on the third Sunday of every month to share creativity. I am so thrilled to be included in this very talented group of stampers, so much inspiration! I want to thank them all for including me.

Our theme for this month of June is “Paper Players”. We are exploring Designer Series Paper in any way we like, maybe a fun fold, maybe a technique using Designer Series Paper, maybe a creative way to combine papers.
It’s a very appropriate month to be using Designer Series Paper as Stampin’ Up!® are have a 15% discount offer on selected patterned papers. See the end of this post for details. I am showcasing two of the papers on sale … Masterfully Made 12″ x 12″ paper and Zoo Crew 12″ x 12″ paper.
Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper …

This card looks like there is a lot of work in it, but it is quite simple really. The Designer Series Paper does all the work and the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper certainly does a great job. Many of the designs feature this torn paper design which is so realistic. I could have used a different design in the same pack of paper for the contrast piece, but I wanted to use a totally different pattern and yellow tones. So I pulled out the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper pack and chose the black and white floral pattern.
Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper …
The Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper is so cute with all the adorable animal designs, but I really love the reverse side patterns which are all black and white. They give you so much scope with colouring them in a variety of methods. So I pulled out my Stampin’ Blends in Berry Burst, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight and coloured in all the little flowers. Using the Stampin’ Blends meant I could then colour the yellow background with Daffodil Delight ink and an ink Blending Brush without the coloured flowers blurring.

To create the little scalloped decorative edging, I used the Scalloped Contours Dies. I cut the largest of the rectangular dies and then trimmed off the scalloped edging from one side to fit the layers … it is a delicate little piece, not overpowering the papers at all. I also added a strip of contrast cardstock and both of these elements cover the join in the Designer Series Papers.
The Sentiment is from the Timeless Charm stamp set and I die cut it with another die from the Scalloped Contours dies. I also cut the same die in contrast card colour. I cut the stamped sentiment out into a rectangle using the lines on the die cut as a guide and adhered them together.
The flowers are also from the Timeless Charm stamp set, stamped and coloured with Stampin’ Blends before being die cut from co-ordinating dies from the Timeless Charm dies.
Embellishments are from the 2023-2025 In Color Dots, and these are the “Wild Wheat” colour, which seem to go with the Daffodil Delight colouring.

Make two cards at once …

When creating for this card, I cut full size pieces of Designer Series Paper to fit the entire card front, and then cut them down after colouring so I could reverse the patterns and create two cards at once! In reality, this is because I find it so difficult to make a decision …. “which version will look best?”. So I made two. I actually don’t know which one I like the best.
