The Beauty Abounds Bundle is featured in the Stampin’ up! 2019 Occasions Catalogue, page 13.
Welcome to my blog today … I am so excited to be the guest designer on the Global Design Project Challenge this week. I was amazingly fortunate that this card was chosen as a winner for the GDP#173 Colour Challenge.
Which means that I get to be the Guest Designer for this week’s colour challenge.

Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper
You may be wondering where this lovely Melon Mambo butterfly came from? It is one of the black and white butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, coloured up with Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana inks and a blender pen. There is a whole 12″ x 12″ sheet (2 sheets actually) of butterflies in all different shapes in this Designer Series Paper, just waiting to be coloured in any colour your heart desires.
The Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper is available for free with an AU$90 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.
Other Design Elements

The beautiful butterfly was created first, and then I looked for a way to feature it on my card. Here are some of the design elements.
1. Emboss Resist Technique for the background panel. The flower swirl from Beauty Abounds set has been repeatedly stamped onto a Whisper White panel and heat set with Clear Embossing Powder. This creates images which “resist” the ink sponged over the top.
2. Sponge with two shades that will blend well together (Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green), creating a lighter highlight in the middle of the piece with the lighter shade (Coastal Cabana).
3. Limiting the resist embossed images to the top 3/4 of the strip of
4. Add a touch of Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to the butterfly for a little bit of shimmer.

Beauty Abounds Bundle
The Beauty Abounds Cling Stamp Set is available bundled with the Beautiful Butterfly Thinlits dies for 10% discount on both. At AU$97.00, if you purchase this bundle during Sale-A-Bration (running until 31st March 2019), you would get to choose the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper for free.

I would like to give a shout out to Jean Manis, a talented paper crafter from the Pacific North West of USA. I have had an image of one of Jean’s cards in my “must try this” pile for a number of years and the little butterfly just reminded me of Jean’s butterfly card. So my project is a case of Jean’s lovely card, which you can see here.
