Has anyone told you today … You’re Delightful!

“You’re Delightful”! What a fabulous greeting! If you are lucky enough to have delightful people in your life, celebrate their specialness by giving them a handmade card …. just because!!

This card has been created with one of the host sets from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue … it’s called, believe it or not, “You’re Delightful”. The host sets are available only with earned rewards dollars when you have a qualifying order of $250 or more (in Australia).

I have embossed this large and striking image with clear embossing powder. To get the two tone effect, I simply inked one half of the stamp with Pumpkin Pie ink and then the remainder of the stamp with Berry Burst. Use the lighter shade first. I then used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig stamp positioner to ink (the cleaned off) stamp with Versamark and stamp exactly over the existing two tone greeting before heat embossing with clear embossing powder.

The patterned layer at the bottom of the card is stamped with the solid dots from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set and Sweet Sugarplum ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Some are stamped at full strength and some are stamped off first, to create depth. One edge has been die cut with the large scallop die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. Keep the left over piece for inside the card.
Once the dotty piece has been adhered to the layer, I wrapped a length of the Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon around the layer to cover the straight edge and tied in a bow, securing in place with a couple of glue dots. Then the whole shebang can be adhered to the Whisper White folded card front.

The final thing to finish off the card is the addition of some of the Berry Burst Glitter Enamel Dots and a couple of Pumpkin Pie Enamel Dots.
Such an easy card, and you could create this one in many different colour schemes. I gave a couple of these cards out to some very special people … you know who you are! 🙂

Cheers
