Stampin’ Up! Eclectic Thank You Card

Stampin’ Up! Eclectic Thank You Card

Hello friends. I created this Eclectic Thank You card recently for a facebook online project presentation on my VIP Customer Page. If you shop with me or attend my classes, and you aren’t a member of my VIP page yet, jump on over and request to be a part of the group. It’s fun, with live weekly project presentations and giveaways.

Eclectic Thank You Card

Eclectic Thank You

Stampin’ Up! create wonderfully co-ordinated suites of products to make it easy to produce stunning projects with a minimum of fuss. And so it is with the Naturally Eclectic Suite on pages 132 and 133 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

However, while the main feature of this card uses the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies, the supporting elements are a mixture of different products. Sometimes it is fun to mix it up a bit (aka … pull everything out and make a big mess on my craft desk).

Eclectic Flowers

The variegated background in the flowers is created by sponging ink colour onto Whisper White cardstock and diecutting just the background flower image. I picked up the colours from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky, in the sponging. The detailed outline flower is die cut from Early Espresso cardstock and using the new Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet! Man oh man … this stuff makes adhering those fiddly pieces soooooo easy!

And that is about where I stopped with the Eclectic stuff and moved onto something a little more day to day … COFFEE!!

Coffee Break Time

Coffee Break Designer Series Paper

Love, love, love the Coffee Break Designer Series paper. And the Ticket Tear Border Punch is so easy to use and makes a feature of the layers of different patterns.  Circle elements die cut with Layering Circle Framelits behind the flowers also feature some of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper, and a little subtle Early Espresso sponging adds a touch of grunge to the mix.

Of course, you need a good background to pull it all together …..

Petal Burst Embossing Folder

I think any embossing folder would work, but really love the way the sponging around the edge highlights the all over pattern of the Petal Burst Textured Embossing Folder. And it sort of looks like coffee beans!  Well if you squint and turn your head sideways a little!

The greeting is one of my most used … “THANK YOU, YOUR’E THE BEST” … I am so lucky to have so many people in my life that I can use this greeting for!!  It comes from the All Things Thanks stamp set.

The Inside Story …

The Eclectic Inside Story

There are times when I like the inside of the card just as much as the outside. This is one of those times! With the addition of a little greeting and some random sequins or splotches, this would make a lovely card front, don’t you think?

I pulled out the Eclectic stuff again, and used the stamps that matched the dies on the front of the card. Adding some of the same Coffee Break Designer Series Paper layers ties everything together just nicely.

It was always a given that I would love the Naturally Eclectic Suite of products from Stampin’ Up! …. purely for the name. Eclectic is such a delicious word!

Naturally Eclectic Suite

I love all the products in this suite (Pages 132 and 133 of the Annual Catalogue) … there’s the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and the stunning  Eclectic Layers Thinlits, along with that “you’ve just gotta have it” Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and printed acetate Card Overlays.
