The Adventures of Benji – Around the World on Wednesday
Once upon a time there was a little Shih Tzu puppy called Benji living happily in NW Ohio. This little doggo was promised a trip around the world. Benji patiently waited, day after day, for this promised adventure to happen, but despite many walks, tractor rides, car rides, games of soccer and localised adventures, the promised world tour never eventuated …. until now.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop is the brainchild of Angie McKenzie, a wonderful friend and amazing paper artist and also the human companion of Benji. My name is Cheryll Miller, and I am so delighted to be a part of this varied and talented group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators.
A dog’s tour around the world …
To fulfil her promise to Benji, Angie has sent him on a trip around the world with the Around the World on Wednesday design crew. And Benji is now in South Australia, visiting his two Golden Retriever pals, Sasha and Lucy.
Lucy is just 3 months old, Sasha is 2 years old … Lucy is a little bit young yet to be out socialising (her vaccinations are all done next month), so the girls have enjoyed showing Benji around the yard. Their favourite place is in the front yard where they can watch the world go by and snuffle around in the gardens.
Chewing up sticks is a favourite pastime and the girls are happy to share their sticks with Benji.
Dinner time is one of the best times of the day, and here are all three puppies patiently waiting for dinner to be served. Lucy is telling Benji, “you just have to lay here and wait patiently and lots of yummy things get delivered in a bowl”.
Friends for Life bundle …
I thought that the stamp set and die bundle “Friends for Life” was very apt for this new found puppy friendship, so I created a card featuring these products.
Featuring the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder …
The background layer is one of my new favourites … the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder. How gorgeous is this?
- The embossed background has been coloured with Balmy Blue ink and an ink blending brush.
- The circular elements are created with the Spotlight on Nature dies and the Stylish Shapes dies. A great combination of circular shapes, the stitched circle has been die cut from the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper …. stunning!!
- The die cut word “Friend” is one of those two step dies, the base is die cut from Basic White card, and the detailed word on top is die cut from the Full of Life Designer Series Paper …. I used the Adhesive Sheets when die-cutting this one to make adhering easy.
- Add the word “Thank You” from the Friends For Life stamp set, die cut with a die from the Something Fancy dies.
- The little hearts are from the Friends for Life dies,and I added some 2024-2026 In Colour Shimmer Gems (Summer Splash).
Benji, Sasha and Lucy will be friends for life after Benji’s virtual visit. I hope we get to meet Benji in real life one day!
