Our guest designers for this challenge are Janette Goodall and Yvonne Spikmans-Van Bruggen.

Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set and Dies …

These gorgeous items have been tucked away in the Online Exclusives for a while now. They are a favourite of mine BUT the dies are in low inventory. So if you have really wanted this co-ordinating stamp and die set bundle, then best to grab it before the dies are sold out as once they are gone, they are gone forever.

Custom Crocheted Trim

As I was creating my project, I wanted a white ribbon trim. While there are white ribbons on offer in the Stampin’ Up! range, I didn’t have any on hand. So I created my own using a crochet hook and White Baker’s Twine. This adds a lot of texture and a fun point of difference. It is thicker than ribbon so all the other elements have to be popped up on dimensionals to accommodate the bulk. Probably not the best option for mailing, so seeing as that option is out the window, I added some extra dimension to the flower as well.

Irresistible Blooms

instruction

Step 1 / Stamp smaller flower from Irresistible Blooms set with Calypso Coral ink onto white cardstock twice. Colour with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the two different leaf images with Soft Seafoam ink and colour with Soft Seafoam Stampin’ Blends. Die Cut all with co-ordinating dies. Cut the central petals of one of the floral images and adhere to the full flower using Glue Dots and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold the petals up.

Step 2 / Die cut small leaves from Old Olive card stock. Die cut the detailed leaf dies from Basic White cardstock. Die cut a rectangular panel from Old Olive Cardstock (Radiating Stitches Dies). Die Cut a smallish circular panel from Soft Seafoam cardstock (Spotlight on Nature Dies) and a smaller white circular panel from Basic White cardstock (Stylish Shapes dies).

Step 3 / Crochet a length of trim to fit across the front of the die cut rectangular panel. I used Double Crochet stitch x 5 stitches (including turning chain) per row. If you don’t crochet, just use any white ribbon. Adhere in place around the Old Olive rectangular panel.

Step 4 / Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Old Olive panel and then adhere to card front. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere the Old Olive Panel to card front. Adhere the circular panels together with Liquid Glue and then to the rectangular panel with Stampin Dimensionals. Adhere the floral & foliage elements to the circular panels.

Step 5 / White heat emboss the sentiment onto Old Olive cardstock, fussy cut and adhere to card front as shown.

Step 6 / I coloured up some white adhesive sequins with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends and adhered to card front.

Step 7 / Decorate inside of card as desired.
