Les Shoppes Suite for All Star Video Class Bundle – October 2023

Les Shoppes Suite from the Stampin’ Up!® 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue features a stamp set and die bundle, designer series paper and loose silver sequins. While the Les Shoppes Designer Series Paper is a major part of this suite, for my blog project today, I have used the Countryside Inn Designer Series Papers for a different look.

Hello and welcome to the October 2023 All Star Video Class Bundle Blog Hop.

This hop introduces you to the Video Class Bundle featuring the Les Shoppes suite of products. Les Shoppes Suite …

This blog hop gives you additional ideas for using the Les Shoppes Suite. The blog projects are entirely different to what is in the Video Class bundle. Here is a little sneak peek of my project in the Video Class bundle this month … which is a fun 3d project.

And here is my project for the blog hop … as you can see, it is a very different vibe, going for a monochromatic, country feel.

This set is very specific … it’s all shopping in the high street, shop fronts and buildings. I had already done some colouring of the buildings in my tutorial project so wanted to do something different using the stamp set for my blog project. I thought I would try some paper piecing as the shapes are very easy to cut out. And instead of using the Les Shoppes Designer Series Paper, I have pulled out the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper for a monochromatic look.

I love the country feel of the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper, and the patterns are all smallish, perfect for the Paper Piecing technique. I have simply stamped the buildings multiple times with Night of Navy ink on the different patterns and then got busy cutting out all the little individual elements and layering them up. It’s the detail of every little piece being a different pattern that I adore about this card.

I die cut the awning pieces from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper, and I fussy cut the trees from one of the designs … love these to soften the straight lines. The smaller background panel is one of the Patchwork Pieces dies, die cut from Boho Blue with a little blending added around each piece to give them some definition. I was disappointed that most of this was covered over by the buildings, but there is just enough detail to create some interest, but not be a pattern which would have just been way toooooooo much … even for me!!!

I also love that the pattern I did use for a layer in the background echoes the stitched look dots from the Patchwork Pieces die. Purely accidental … a happy accident!!

The sentiment is from the Wonderful Thoughts bundle (all sentiments and the dies to cut them out). I white heat embossed this one onto Night of Navy card.
