Cheerful Daisies stamp set and die bundle have been used for Colour INKspiration challenge #147.

Welcome to my blog. Today’s post is for Colour INKspirations Colour Challenge #147. Our inspiration pic for this challenge was chosen by our very talented team member … Nikki Spencer. Isn’t this image amazing?
Check out how to join in the challenge below …. if you don’t have the exact colours, you can use a close substitute, Pretty Peacock instead of Lost Lagoon for instance.

The Colour INKspiration challenge is a great one to get your inspiration flowing. It is very easy to enter the challenge. You don’t need a blog, you can simply post your card image in the facebook group. This challenge finishes on Monday July 24th at 7:00pm, and we would love to see your creation.
Our CI#147 challenge features Very Vanilla, Copper Clay, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon. The challenge parameters are to use all four of the challenge colours (or if you don’t have the exact colour, you can substitute a close alternative). In addition you can use neutrals such as Basic White, Crumb Cake and Basic Black, or metallics.
Check out how you can join in the challenge at the end of this post or on the facebook page here.
And if you need inspiration, the designer’s album for this challenge is absolutely fantastic. Click on the Media tab and then “Albums”, or go straight to the album here.
Cheerful Daisies vintage style …
These colours say “vintage” to me and I have again used Cheerful Daisies for my challenge card. I love the outline daisy images for colouring, and this time I have used Copper Embossing powder for the outlines.

Here are the steps to create this one … supplies list is at the bottom of the post.
Step by step …
- The background piece is a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and coloured with Copper Clay ink and an ink blending brush.
- The rectangular panel is Lost Lagoon cardstock die cut with one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies. The edges of the panel have been given some depth with Lost Lagoon ink and a blending brush.
- The daisy outlines are stamped on Basic White cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Copper embossing powder. Flower centres are stamped with Copper Clay ink.
- The daisies have been coloured with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. I made a small blunder here by not wiping the Copper Clay ink off the embossed outlines, and when I started to colour, the Stampin’ Blend nib picked up the Copper Clay ink and made the Pool Party a slightly muddy colour, particularly with the smaller flowers …. ooops!!! It does sort of add to the Vintage feel.
- The leaves are stamped with Lost Lagoon ink onto Pool Party cardstock.
- Flowers and leaves are die cut with co-ordinating Cheerful Daisies dies, and adhered to the Lost Lagoon panel with a mixture of liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sentiment is from Colour & Contour stamp set, stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock with Lost Lagoon ink and die cut with the label die in the Cheerful Daisies die set. It’s adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Final additions are a little bow of Linen Thread and some Copper Adhesive dots from the Brushed Metallic Adhesive Embellishments.

I love the slightly grungy feel to this card.

This bundle is amazing … so many different looks can be achieved from all the different variations of the daisy stamps and dies.

Sasha says ….
…. aaaaaaaw, come on!! Not another photo!!!!
