Stamping Sunday Blog Hop – Paper Perfection
![]()
Sun Prints Suite of products from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue are featured today in my blog hop for the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop.

Welcome to my blog on this second
I have created two cards using the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper … one card is at the simple and quick end of the scale, and the second is a little more involved, but totally created using various patterns from the Designer Series Paper.

Sun Prints Designer Series Paper …

When this paper was released by Stampin’ Up! earlier this year, I think there was a collective “oooooh” from all Stampin’ Up! demonstrators!
The paper is all beautiful, however the sheet below (this is both sides) is particularly stunning and is so easy to chop up and get ready made card fronts.

And here is the card I created. Firstly I chopped the paper into 6 pieces and chose my favourite piece to create this card. It is a truly simple card, but it doesn’t look simple at all. I white embossed the sentiment (from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set) directly onto the paper, and then layered it onto a fine white matting layer, before adhering to a Night of Navy card front. Super quick! You get four patterned layers to suit a card front and two plainer blue layers (onto which you can create your own pattern by white embossing images from the Nature’s Prints stamp set).

Then of course, you want to use all the other fabulous designs … the card below is created totally from Designer Series Paper, except for the folded card base and the Happy Thoughts sentiment piece. The papers all co-ordinate beautifully, and the little pops of Pacific Point blue really make the blue designs shine.

The feature tag is die cut with the Tailor Made Tag Dies (155563) … one of those hidden gems in the die section in back of the Annual catalogue. I stamped the words “Hello There” repeatedly on the tag with Gray Granite ink, and then stamped the Maidenhair Fern image from Nature’s Prints Stamp Set over the top with Night of Navy ink. The words show through the leaves, so I stamped the fern image again onto another piece of the same patterned paper, coloured it with Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut each leaf and adhered it over the top of the image stamped onto the tag.

The ribbon is White Crinkle Cut Seam Binding (151326), coloured up with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend. The blue gems are standard Basic Rhinestones, coloured with Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend.
