Welcome to my blog. Today I am participating in Colour INKspiration challenge #101.
This lovely image was chosen by fellow team member Monica Formosa.

It is very easy to enter the Colour INKspiration Challenge. You don’t need a blog, you can simply post your card image in the facebook group.
Our CI#101 challenge includes three new In Colors, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Evening Evergreen, combined with Highland Heather and Balmy Blue.

Check out how you can join in the challenge at the end of this post or on the facebook page here.

I have used the Hydrangea Haven stamps in a different way to create the background for these cards.

Hydrangea Haven for Colour Inkspiration
  • The shadow stamps used for colouring the hydrangeas have been repeat stamped in the challenge colours Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.
  • The small flowers have been die cut from the new Shimmer Vellum in Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia, using the Hydrangea Dyes. To incorporate Evening Evergreen into the mix, I die cut the detailed leaf sprig from Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum.
  • The flowers and leaves are adhered with glue dots in a swathe over the twine wrapped cardstock panel. Don’t you just love that word “swathe” … it probably bears no relation to cardmaking, but it sounds luxurious and exuberant.
  • The little tag is also from the Hydrangea dies and the “for you” sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.

This version uses Balmy Blue as the matting layer and the cardstock panel wrapped in gold twine.

The cards the other design team members have created for this challenge are amazing, and you can check them out in the album on the facebook page here.
