Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle
And here is my project for the blog hop this month … as you can see, it’s totally different to my project in the tutorial bundle. Today for the blog hop I am featuring the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle.
We have been away camping, and I took my project for the blog hop with me. This is my adorable grand daughter, Estella, being my “card model”. 🙂 Dirty fingernails and all … hey, that goes with the whole camping thing!
This card is one of my favourite layouts for a class. You can feature a gorgeous large image along with the co-ordinating Designer Series Paper.
The large sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set has been stamped onto Bumblebee cardstock with Early Espresso Ink and then Versamark (the Stamparatus makes this process super easy) and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Then the flower is watercoloured with Pumpkin Pie and Cinnamon Cider inks and a Water Painter, before being die cut with the co-ordinating outline die from the Sunflower Dies.
The strip of designer series paper is from the Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack. One of the less “bright floral” designers, but actually one of my favourites. I have added two detailed leaf dies cut from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and a wrap of Linen Thread.
