Frosted Foliage Cling Rubber Stamp Set comes bundled with the Frosted Frames Dies.

Welcome to my blog … I am so incredibly excited to be the Guest Designer for the Colour INKspiration Challenge #68 Blog Hop. What is Colour INKspiration? It is a group of Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who post a colour challenge in the Colour INKspiration facebook page approximately every two weeks.
It is simple to play along … create a card based on the posted colour challenge, then post it in the facebook group here. The crew select the top five entries and you and everyone else can vote for your favourite.
Here is the Colour Challenge #68 … what a fabulous colour combination! I am a green girl, so these are some of my favourite colours. And I love the inspiration image as well.

In addition to the challenge colours, you can freely use Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, metallics and skin-tone blends. If you don’t have the exact challenge colours, you can substitute with your nearest-to colours. This is a really simple challenge to enter, just create and post into the group on facebook! Why not take up the challenge and create something using these colours … go on, I dare you!!
Here is my card created for the challenge.

Coastal Cabana, Blueberry Bushel, Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock
I have used the Frosted Foliage Stamp Set and Frosted Frames Dies, however the feature of the card is the sponged background piece. I used all four of the non-foil colours, Coastal Cabana, Blueberry Bushel, Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock, sponging them onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock until they were nicely blended.
The sponged panel was embossed with the Stylish Scrolls Embossing Folder and then the raised areas were brushed lightly with Pretty Peacock stamp pad. it gives a lovely distressed look. Adding the pearls? … too much? … I know it will be a “take it or leave it” type thing. That is the beauty of creating, you can do what pleases you!
Before embossing the panel, I die cut a circle out of one of the corners using the Layering Circles Dies. Using the same dies, I created a circular frame from Silver Foil Card. Also using Silver Foil card, I diecut multiple floral pieces from the Frosted Frames Dies and adhered them behind the silver frame.
This whole piece was laid over a Whisper White panel sponged with Coastal Cabana ink. The greeting was stamped with Pretty Peacock and Versamark (use your Stamparatus for this technique) and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, so that it shows through the circular cut out.
Frosted Foliage Cling Rubber Stamp Set and Frosted Frames Dies
This is a great set for all year round, not just for Christmas. I love sets that are multi-use! That framed foliage piece is adorable!

Next up in the hop is the fabulous Jan Clothier at Thinking Stamping. Jan is an amazing paper artist based in New Zealand and I am very excited to learn that Jan has been selected for the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team 2020. Congratulations Jan! xx
Don’t forget, once you have finished hopping around all the blogs, to check out the Colour INKspirations facebook page. And pop a card into the colour challenge! You never know, you might be the next guest designer!

I’m a big fan of inky, spongy, stampy, smooshy backgrounds like this. I love to do them and I love to see great examples of them so i LOVE this. Your porthole of foliage is a great way to show off the sentiment. Thank you for guest designing with us for this challenge and I look forward to seeing more of your lovely creations. And also thank you for the lovely comments. 🙂
Thanks Jan … I was thrilled to be hopping with you girls. And now I can be a “fan girl” next time I see you! 😉 xxx
