Little Twinkle stamp set is used to create a baby card in non-traditional colours.

Welcome to the Creating Kindness Design Team Blog Hop for August. The theme of the hop this month is “Music”. You may have started here or come from Paula Dobson’s blog … I love Paula’s fun take on the music theme. Our guest designer this month is the lovely Leonie Stuart, a fellow Aussie demonstrator. Little Twinkle
I will admit, I was stumped with the “Music” theme for this hop. Searching through all my current stamp sets, revealed I don’t have any current music themed stamps! There are however a couple of stamp sets that bring music to mind whenever I look at them. One is Stitched All Around … whenever I see the sentiment “You Are My Sunshine”, I burst into song into my head. Another ear worm prompting stamp set is Little Twinkle, with the sentiment “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. And much as this isn’t the song I want running on repeat in my head for very long, I haven’t created a baby card in a while so this is what I chose to use today.
Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose

I have used two of my new favourite colours … Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose! Not traditionally baby card colours, but hey … who says you need to use pink, blue and lemon?
For the Casual Crafter …
This is a wonderfully simple card to create, no die cutting machine required, not even a punch!
The Rococo Rose Designer Series Paper is from the Woven Threads 12″ x 12″ pack. It is wrapped around the fold of the Pretty Peacock card base and held in place with Linen Thread.

Twinkle Twinkle is simply stamped with Pretty Peacock ink onto the white card layer. The gorgeous heart is the feature of the card, white embossed onto Pretty Peacock card and then the panels coloured with light or dark Stampin’ Blends to give it a faceted look. A little “twinkle” is added to some of the panels with Wink of Stella and the heart is easy to cut out with Paper Snips.
Add a few of those absolutely delicious Woven Threads sequins and this card is done!

Next up in the hop is my mate, Jenny Hall of Jenny Hall Design. Be prepared to be amazed with Jenny’s delightful song birds.
