Welcome once again to Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop, travelling around the world through every time zone. You may be starting here or you may have come from the blog of the amazing Cazz Boylan (and wasn’t her project fabulous?!!)
Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop is the brainchild of Angie McKenzie, a wonderful friend and amazing paper artist. My name is Cheryll Miller, and I am so delighted to be a part of this varied and talented group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators.
Something Fancy Bundle ….
As I flicked through the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, my eye was drawn to the joining special and that amazing Boho Blue Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, in particular the image of the machine from overhead on a glorious arrangement of stamped and die cut elements.

I love this image and really wanted to re-create it. Here is my card ….

I have used a selection of new products from the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalogue to create the elements for the background. A LOT of diecutting, but all very easy to do, and then just a matter of layering everything up. What do you think? I love it … I love the chaotic and exuberant feel to this card.
What I used …
Two-Tone Flora stamps and dies -I stamped a selection of the two step florals with Balmy Blue ink onto Balmy Blue card, and also with Pool Party ink onto Pool Party Card, and then die cut the images.
Desert Details stamps and dies – Again, I stamped the two succulent images with Pool Party ink onto Pool Party card and die cut quite a few of these. I also used the detailed succulent die and cut them out with Mint Macaron and Soft Seafoam card.
Dainty Delight dies – I cut a selection of these beautifully detailed dies from Mint Macaron, Soft Seafoam and Soft Succulent cardstock.

Then I just layered some of the larger stamped images over a panel of Pool Party cardstock, and then added a layer of die cut images. Next I adhered some more stamped and die cut images in a smaller layer radiating out from the centre of card. Next up a few more detailed dies and then finally another layer of stamped and die cut images right in the centre. I deliberately didn’t add too much glue to all elements so that they stood up a little as the layers built up.
I did trim off any overhanging dies around the edge of the panel to try and tame the chaos a little.
It all got a little bit messy right in the middle, but that was solved by popping the white heat embossed sentiment right in the centre. This sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp set and the elegant labels are from the Something Fancy dies.
And lastly, I added some glittery shine with some of the blue-ish adhesive sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in the centres of the daisy flowers. And the whole shebang is adhered to a Basic Gray folded card.

So what do you think? Can you see this card in a warmer colour palette? Maybe oranges, yellows and pinks? Maybe blue and purple tones? Let me know in the comments if you think I have achieved a similar effect to the image from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.
Next up we are are going to take a trip all the way across the Nullabor plain (much cooler to do that by a quick click of a button at the moment) to Melissa Gifford’s blog … can’t wait to see what Melissa has created. In fact, I cannot wait to hop through all the links and check out all the new product amazingness. I am very excited about this new Mini Catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration offerings for the next two months. I just know I will get lots of inspiration from this hop.
