Good Morning Magnolia Bundle

I have used the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle (available in the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! catalogue) for my tutorial this month and created a feminine card featuring a 3d flower. Here is a little sneak peek.

The card featured on my blog today highlights the large magnolia stamp and is a totally different card to my project tutorial.

Watercolour Magnolia …

Oh my …. this large magnolia image is so easy to watercolour. I chose to use striking colours of Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick and Rich Razzleberry for the flower, and the leaves are Old Olive and Gray Granite.

The flower has been stamped on Watercolour Paper with Gray Granite ink to create a softer outline. Because Gray Granite is not a waterproof ink, watercolouring will soften the outline images. For this reason, I tried to work just inside the outline of the flower and leaves to reduce the blurring of the lines. It doesn’t matter if that happens on the lines inside the image.

This large flower is perfect to hone your colouring skills. Even a beginner crafter will get great results with just a little bit of practice. My tip for getting this large image to stamp perfectly is to use the Stamparatus.

Here is the list of all the designer’s blogs, check them all out for more great examples of the Tutorial Bundle Design Team’s work.
