Best Route Memories and More Card Pack

Welcome to my blog! It’s Scrapbook Sunday …. Stampin’ Up! demonstrators using Stampin’ Up! product for memory keeping. The theme today is Travel/Adventure.

I had a little stash of photos printed out from a road trip our grandkids went on earlier in the year … they took their Mums on a holiday to Lorne, Victoria. This theme was a perfect opportunity to scrap the photos.

Best Route Memories & More Card Pack

Bright primary blue, yellow and orange (or Blueberry Bushel, Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody in Stampin’ Up! speak) are a feature of this Memories & More card pack.  And being travel themed, this pack was perfect to use for this double page pocket layout.

For me, memory keeping and cardmaking are not usually a quick process.  I revel in the designing, the creation, the trial and error, the “voila” of the final result.

That’s all well and good, but realistically, in this busy day and age, very few memories would be preserved if I always used this process to memory keep.  That’s where the Memories and More card packs come to the rescue.  You can create layouts in double quick time using these packs, and they can still have your own scrapping personality reflected in them.

Double Quick Time Memory Keeping 

I created this layout in one hour. I used the cards and elements from the Best Route card pack only in this layout. I don’t have the stamp set or dies that co-ordinate, so the only stamping is in the couple of little titles “Bells Beach” and “Estella” … I used the small letters from the Make a Difference stamp set and Jet Black Stazon Ink.

Design Elements

Cut out elements from the Memories and More cards – I chose the phrases from the Best Route Memories and More cards that best suited the photographs and story for the layout and cut them out so I could adhere them over photos with multi purpose liquid glue.

Stamp directly onto photographs with Stazon ink – Stazon ink is perfect for stamping directly onto photographs.  It dries almost instantly, doesn’t smear and is permanent.

Utilise Memories and More stickers – The Memories and More packs include sheets of stickers which make it super easy to add titles and other elements to your photographs, like the banner shape for the date and the little yellow car in this layout.
