Welcome to my blog …. how exciting! Thanks to all the lovely people who voted for my card in Kylie’s International Blog Highlight in July, I placed in the top ten and get to hop with Kylie and all the other winners. The theme is the same as for the highlight … Friendship.
Here is my card from the July Highlight.
For my project today, I have used the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set. This set does come bundled with the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies … and it is a wonderful set of dies, however I didn’t use the dies today.
Instead, I created an exuberant swathe of thousands of flowers for a special friend … well maybe not quite a thousand ….seeing as I have fussy cut these little beauties, I am sort of glad it isn’t thousands!
The large rose is gorgeous when stamped up in the full three steps … this one is Rich Razzleberry and Powder Pink. Then the smaller flowers were two step stamped in Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral, with touches of Old Olive for the leaves.
All in all, this was a very simple card to create. Sure, the fussy cutting took a little bit extra time, but it wasn’t complicated and the abundance of flowers goes fabulously with the greeting.
The leafy designer series paper from the Share What You Love bundle goes perfectly and the addition of the Artisan Pearls gives each flower it’s own touch of shimmer.
I did create this card live in my Facebook Customer VIP group last week, fussy cutting the flowers ahead of time. If I didn’t talk so much it would have taken no time at all to put together!
If you are interested in watching me create live on Facebook, I also have a weekly creative live on Wednesday evenings (8:00pm South Australia time, 8:30pm East Coast Australia) on my Stampin’ Up!
