Welcome to my blog. Today is Super Boss Day and I am participating in a very special Blog Hop… the Heart Kids Super Boss Day Blog Hop. Thanks to Tania Tobin for inviting me to join this hop, where we are highlighting this important fundraiser for Heart Kids.

All funds raised through Super Boss Day go towards supporting kids, adults and their families affected by congenital heart disease, by funding life-changing medical research, support services and programs.

This includes programs like the Family Coping Program which guides families through the trauma and helps them manage the significant social, emotional and physical well-being challenges associated with congenital heart disease.

Super Boss Day challenges everyone to dress as a superhero for a day to raise funds to support kids with congenital/childhood heart disease. Today is the day, so if you see a Superhero in your travels, please make sure to thank them for making a difference and more importantly, support their efforts by donating to this very worthy cause.

The theme for our hop today is red and blue. Not colours I would normally create with in the same palette, but they are certainly Super Hero colours!  Or should I say Super Roo colours. 🙂

Is it a wombat? Is it a Possum?  No, it’s Super Roo!
This cute little blue Kangaroo is dressing in his best superhero gear for Superboss Day.
He is from the Stampin’Up! Animal Outing Stamp Set.

Mr Roo is coloured with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut. There are dies that co-ordinate with this set, but I don’t have them so have resorted to some precision scissor work. His red cape is cut out one of my husband’s work shirts … hopefully he won’t notice the square cut out of the sleeve when he goes back to work next week!
Labeller Alphabet

The custom greeting is created with part of a greeting from the Special Celebrations set (Page 32 of the Annual Catalogue). The greeting actually reads “Thanks for Being You”. I covered up the “you” so the greeting reads “Thanks for Being” and add the letters “SUPER” from the Labeller Alphabet stamp set, stamped in real red.

And the little hearts are from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies.   Everything sits on a Pool Party layer embossed with the Scattered Sequins embossing folder.
