Welcome to the very first Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop.
Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop Header

I am so thrilled to be joining this hop with such an illustrious line up of ladies … I feel like a bit of an imposter really!  I am totally awed that you have probably come here from the amazing Cathy Caines (who I have been a fan of for years), so there was a bit of pressure to bring out my best work.

Follow along with us on the third Sunday of each month and get inspired to memory keep with all the fabulous products Stampin’ Up! offer.

To kick off, we are following a sketch, created by blog hop participant, Pam Staples.

And this is my take on the sketch, featuring my favourite photo of my daughter, Joelle.

Scrapping Sunday Layout

Normally I use pocket page layouts for my scrapbooking projects, however I found the angled elements in the sketch difficult to incorporate into a pocket page layout. Maybe it is because I don’t usually do angles?  Whatever the reason, I ended up with a 12″ x 12″ layout.

Petal Passion Suite

I have used items from the upcoming Occasions Catalogue Petal Passion Suite of products.  The flowers and the laser cut word “lovely” are from the Petal Passion Memories and More pack.  The flowers are black and white adhesive backed elements, coloured with Stampin’ Blends. The laser cut word was white, so I inked it up with Basic Black Archival Ink.  The die cut black leaf spray is from the Petals and More Thinlits Dies.

Floral Elements

The strip of Designer Series Paper in the background is from the Petal Passion 12″ x 12″ DSP Pack.  It is black and white (as is all the paper in this pack) and I have coloured it with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

The final touch was the addition of the dots in the corners stamped in Smoky Slate ink. The stamp is from the Petal Palette Stamp Set.

Lovely Layout

The Petal Passion Memories and More pack, along with all the products in the Petal Passion suite, are so versatile for scrapping as you can colour them up to suit your photographs.

Hop around all the blogs in this hop for some great memory keeping inspiration … next up we have super talented Danielle Bennenk …. oh my, how did I end up sandwiched in between two such talented paper artists?!!
