Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop – Case the Catalogue
Welcome to the monthly Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop. This month, we are casing projects from the new 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. What is “casing”? … To case a project is to “Copy And Selectively Edit”. Take an idea, change it up and create something of your own.

This is the card/project from the catalog which I am casing. It is on page 80, and features the Stylized Birthday stamp and Copper Trim.
And here is my take on this card:
I have chosen to work with the layout of the birthday card, creating a little textured “sampler” of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks using Embossing Paste. Each panel is a little bit different.
The top left corner is Lemon Lime Twist coloured embossing paste and the brick mask on Whisper White card.
Top right is the medallion mask used with Berry Burst coloured embossing paste on Berry Burst Designer Series Paper from the Colour Theory paper pack.
Bottom left is embossing paste straight out of the jar and using the Clouds Mask on Pink Pirouette cardstock.
And the last corner is Emerald Envy coloured embossing paste on Lemon Lime Twist Card and the diamond pattern mask.
The greeting from All Things Thanks stamp set (Wood Mount or Clear Mount) in the centre is the highlight of the card, stamped in Emerald Envy ink on Whisper White card and die cut with the largest Stitched Oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. A nest of swirling Gold Metallic Thread and two small diecut Lemon Lime Twist leaves (Lovely Laurel Dies) finish off the card.
