Stamping Sunday Blog Hop – Colour Theory
![]()
Hello and welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop hosted by Sara Levin. I am part of the “Second Sunday” group, and a very talented line up it is …. I am very excited to be included. Each month we feature different products from Stampin’ Up!

Colour Theory Suite
This Sunday we are featuring the Colour Theory Suite of products … or as they say in the USA, the Color Theory Suite of products! This suite includes a wonderful Photopolymer stamp set, Colourful Seasons, a co-ordinating set of dies, the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies, plus great Designer Series Paper, embellishments and a set of Making Memories cards.

I love the rich, vibrant colours used in this suite, so have chosen to create a card and mini treat bag using some of them.

As I was preparing these projects, I was also preparing to head away on a mini break for a week. While my deck chair won’t be by the beach (we are camping in the outback), I am very much looking forward to sitting back, relaxing and “Just Breathing”.

I have created colourful deck chairs by stamping the fabric part of the chair with Versamark ink onto some of the patterned cards from the Making Memories card set, and then clear embossing. They are trimmed out by hand before being adhered onto the stamped chair frames. A slight shadow underneath each chair (Sahara Sand ink and a blender pen) ground the deck chairs.

And the inside of the card shows off yet another deck chair.

Colour Theory + Mini Treat Bag Dies
The Mini Treat Bag has been die cut from the same Crushed Curry Designer Series Paper, and the scalloped die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies, cut multiple times from the Dapper Denim designer series paper, creates a great wave like effect. I created a little swinging tag from another deck chair.

Keeping it simple, I have used one of the Making Memories cards inside the Mini Treat Bag, trimmed down to size and adorned with some of the stickers from the same Making Memories set. The little tab punched with the circle tab punch and stapled to the top of the card.

Short and sweet this time. I hope you enjoy these bright projects. Have fun checking out all the other designer’s projects in this blog hop. These Stampin’ Sunday blog hops are really a great resource for ideas for the featured products.

I just love your cards and gift bag! I must get my set out and start making beach chairs. I can never get things lined up which frustrates me and being able to cut out the fabric part is genius! Thank you so much for sharing.
No problems Deborah! 🙂 The Stamparatus which comes out in June will be perfect for lining your stamps up (unless you managed to get a reservation in December and will get your Stamparatus sooner than June). xx
I love seeing the different techniques you use. A gorgeous card. Looks so relaxing! Hope you are enjoying your outback trip! x
Thanks Jodie … I am relaxing by a billabong at Birdsville in a camp chair at the moment! Very special! xxxx

Oh I LOVE it … One of those deck chairs appears to have my name on it …. summer sun with a striking, fancy chair too … what more could a girl raised on the south coast wish for? x
