Fuss Free Friday with Swirly Bird
![]()
It’s Fuss Free Friday … and Swirly Bird stamp set is a great set to be fuss free with.
I have utilised the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #042 for the layout of this card. Here is the sketch.
I used the Swirly Scribble Thinlits for the circular element and all the stamping on the Whisper White layer is done with various images from the Swirly Bird Stamp Set. Super quick and easy to create multiples. And don’t forget that the stamp set and dies are available as a bundle at 10% discount on both.
The greeting is from Thoughtful Banners stamp set, cut into banner shapes as per the sketch. And instead of a heart feature, I have used Swirly Bird flowers and leaves to create a floral feature.
I used Peekaboo Peach and Rich Razzelberry in this card, but decided to try some different colour ways …. here is Take 2.
The Pool Party ink creates a lovely contrast to the Rich Razzleberry swirl and background card.
The curved banner is from Thoughtful Banners stamp set, punched out with the Duet Banner Punch … grab these two as a bundle at 10% discount on both.
The third card uses Island Indigo with the Pool Party ink … and a slightly different layout.
So many different possibilities … this will make a great standby card when I need something in a hurry.
In the end, I chose this version for my submission to the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge.
Sketches are great to call on when you need to create a card in a hurry. Check out what the GDP designers and other participants have created this week over at Global Design Project.
Cheers
Cheryll

Yes!!!! I just love these colours Cheryll!!! Well done!! Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project challenge xx
Thank you Kylie … It’s great to be back and being challenged! 😉 xxx
I love then all Cheryll, I think why number 3 seems to be a favourite is due to the colour. The blue seems to pop out so much more than the other colours, on the white. You have done a good job on all three. Thank you..
Thank you Dorothy … yes, the general consensus around here is the blue wins out! xxx
Thanks Paula. Haha …. number three looks less “I just got out of bed dishevelled” than the other two. That must be all in how I have placed the swirl! 🙂
Oh, I love them all Cheryll, but my personal favourite, if I had to choose, would be number three! Thanks for playing at Global Design Project with us.
