All these balloons are making feel like it is party time! They are such a happy subject to be playing with … so there is a ton of happiness going on over at the Global Design Project this week!
Seeing as the Balloon Celebration stamp set and Balloon Bouquet Punch are my featured bundle this month, I think I can sneak in another challenge entry this time! It is a theme challenge this week and the theme is …. Balloons.

I loved how Paula Dobson added a white highlight to the balloon on her project (see her challenge card here). And when I had finished sponging on these Balloons punched from Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo cardstock, I felt they needed a little more highlighting. I drew my highlights with a Versamark pen and white embossed them, then I added a touch of white gel pen over the top. Not as darling as Paula’s highlight… in fact my highlights look like they are reflecting a massive disco ball, but hey, it is party time! 😉
I really wanted some curly balloon strings and I could have drawn them in with a marker, but I decided to use the “let us celebrate” balloon strings, even though the whole sentiment is not fully visible on any of them.
If my balloons look like they are slightly layered up off the card, it is because they are a double layer. I didn’t like the first balloons once I got them down on the card, so I created them again and just glued them right over the top of the not quite right balloons. I quite like that they look a little raised without the full height of a dimensional.
If you are considering purchasing the Balloon Celebration bundle from me this month in order to receive the 4 free PDF Tutorials and the card kits to go with them, don’t wait too long. The Balloon Bouquet punch is currently running low on inventory at the Stampin’ Up! warehouse. If you do go to order the bundle from me this month and it ends up that the punch is out of stock, either keep it in your order and get it on backorder (and you will still get the free kits/pdfs), or let me know that you will wait until the punch is back in stock and I will make a note to send the the kits/pdf’s once you order the bundle.
Please also note that the Wink of Stella Brush Clear is now on backorder and won’t be in stock until 14th March 2016. A quarter of the expected stock is already on backorder, so if you do want one of these little beauties, then probably best to put it on backorder to ensure you get one when they come in.
If you would like to place an order, click on the shop now button to go to my online store, email me, or give me a call or text on 0438 464451.
