Congratulations Card and Gift Box
Today I have created a card and matching gift box suitable for any congratulatory occasion. To be perfectly honest, I have loved every single thing I have created with this particular stamp set and the co-ordinating dies, and these little lovelies are no exception.

Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate
This wonderfully soft and elegant colour scheme, used with lots and lots of white, is a favourite “go to” mix of colours for me.

I have added one of the beautiful lacy borders from the Delicate Lace Edgelits in white, along with a softening strip of White Vellum. The vellum has been stitched with my trusty sewing machine (very rarely used for actual sewing of material) which saves me having to worry about glue show through.

The tall stalk of leaves from First Frost has been repeat stamped and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. The addition of the gorgeous Petal Pink Artisan Pearls is just the right amount of “bling”.

Window Box Thinlits Gift Box
Smoky Slate is the base for the little gift box. The same tall leaf sprig has been heat embossed with Whisper White Embossing Powder onto the box sides prior to folding it into shape. And yes, it was a little fiddly and you have to make sure you have the leaves oriented the right way up, but the results are oh so worth it. Adding the same Delicate Lace Edgelit to the top edge of the box ties it all in with the card. I have added a little folded piece of white ribbon to the top of the box to make opening super easy.

However, the highlight of this little box is the adorable 3d flowers created with the flower stamp and dies. I have been creating a few of these little flowers just lately. The process is stamp, die cut, spritz on the back side (so the ink doesn’t run), scrunch, unfold and round the flowers with the special flower rounding tool … the top of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Here I used Flirty Flamingo ink on Blushing Bride cardstock.

I have attached four flowers together with some of the Basic Brads.. these are Calypso Coral, but you could also use white (I used all my white brads in other flowers). I am so loving having brads back in the catalogue.
The bouquet is completed with die cut leaf sprigs in different shapes from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.

Orienting the flowers every which way when you are attaching them together creates a sort of ruffled feel to the flowers. I just love them and have been going a little crazy creating flowers in this manner lately … this post shows some in a brighter colour way.
