Shake It Up Baby

This is the cute little card I gave to my partner on Valentine’s Day this year.

It is a variation on the Shaker Card from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalogue using White Vellum and Stacked With Love Designer Washi Tape.  I have used the You Plus Me stamp set and the tinsy hearts trapped in behind the vellum are the “waste” from stamping some borders with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch. The little hearts move around quite freely when you “shake it all about”.

I embossed the white hearts and the Be Mine greeting before adding some stamped and trimmed hearts in shades of Real Red and Calypso Coral just to ensure there was no mistaking this was a Valentine’s card!   You could easily create a similar card for celebrations other than Valentine’s Day … how about an adorable little girl’s birthday card using the You’re Sweet greeting from this set and shades of pink.
