Searching for the Flamingo
![]()
Hi again … here is my second project using the Pop of Paradise stamp set this month.
This card was inspired by a piece of clothing. It’s funny where inspiration comes from. There is a bit of fussy cutting involved, but the end result is well worth the effort.
The flamingo image from Pop of Paradise stamp set (Wood Mount or Clear Mount) really does create a Pop of Pink amongst the tropical greenery. He shelters behind the circle of Window Sheet, incorporated into the circular opening in the z fold card front.
There are lots of hidden elements to this card. The Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape entices you to lift up the front flap to find more Monstera leaf elements.
Once the card is fully opened, the full riotous effect of the lush jungle becomes apparent … you can almost hear the frogs and insects! 🙂
Here is a closer look at the inside panel.
For a full set of instructions to create this card, simply leave a comment here and we will get one emailed right out to you.
In the next project I will feature the pineapple image from Pop of Paradise… this set is full of fun images!

Most beautiful card yet… I love the flamingo stamp set one of my all time fav’s. Love love love this card
Oh does the window sheet have a crease down the center?
Hi Donna, Thank you for your lovely comments. Yes, Dianne has done a fabulous job with this one. The Window Sheet is cut into a circle shape and then adhered onto the card with the zfold open. The glue is covered over with the circle of leaves. Then when the front is folded back into Zfold, the circle of window sheet stays flat. It is a little bit difficult to see in the pics, but is very effective in real life. xx
I love this card. So cute and a lot of work on your part. Thank you for sharing, it is such a fun card.
Hi Donna, Thank you for your kind words. Enjoy.
