Sunrise Sailing Bundle … new product coming in May in the Online Exclusives Range. Take a little sneak peek to celebrate 5 years of Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop.

Welcome once again to Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop, travelling around the world through every time zone. You may be starting your trip Around the World here or you may have come from the blog of amazing artist Rochelle Laird-Smith. Always excited to see what Rochelle has created.
Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop is the brainchild of Angie McKenzie, a wonderful friend and amazing paper artist. My name is Cheryll Miller, and I am so delighted to be a part of this varied and talented group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators.
Celebrating 5 years…
Five years ago yesterday (April 8, 2020) in the midst of the COVID pandemic this fabulous Blog Hop started and we shared our first hug around the world on Wednesday!!!
You are more than welcome to go back and revisit our first blog hop to feel the excitement that we had for our new adventure… https://senseofwhimsy.com.au/2020/04/08/around-the-world-on-wednesday-blog-hop-all-things-crafty/
In celebration of our 5th year, we are beginning a series of “team member focus” blog hops where we will be CAS(e)ing an individual team member for that blog hop. Our team member focus this month is Anne Marie Hile. I went back to Anne Marie’s post for our very first blog hop and pulled up her project … she created this beautiful and bright floral card and was delighted to be able to CAS(e) it for my hop project today.

Sunrise Sailing Bundle …
I have used a very different stamp set for my project today, but used Anne Marie’s card as my inspiration. I kept the layout the same and featured loads of texture in the background layer by using the hybrid embossing folder from Sunrise Sailing, but I have put my own spin on the feature image to take advantage of this great bundle which will be available from Stampin’ Up! in May as an Online Exclusive.

Design Tips
* The Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies from the Sunrise Sailing bundle both creates a gorgeous embossed nautical theme and if you insert the large sailboat die, it also cuts out a beautifully detailed sailboat feature.
* I used the same layout and card stock colours as Anne Marie, with the white background layer being embossed with the Sunrise Sailing Embossing Folder and left white.
* I cut a smaller piece of white card stock for the feature layer and after embossing it, I applied colour with blending brushes and Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Balmy Blue inks. So pretty!!!
* The Sunrise Sailing stamp set has a large sailing boat image, and there are also “fill in stamps” to add colour and texture to the sails and boat hull. Once stamped, the sailing boat can then be die cut and embossed at the same time by adding the die to the embossing folder.
* I added some sunset shimmer by splattering the inked background with Wink of Stella.
* And the finishing touches are a stamped and die cut sentiment and some black Baker’s Twine.

And not forgetting the inside.

This is the Sunrise Sailing Bundle … an upcoming Online Exclusive product available from 6th May, 2025. It is going to be a popular one.
This is the Around the World on Wednesday design team! I am very excited to see everyone’s projects this month and check out how we are all celebrating this milestone.

Cheryll, you’ve convinced me that I need this new sailboat set!! Love the texture and the beautiful coloring you’ve done!
What a beautiful card!! You have such a great style, Cheryll, and you’ve convinced me that I need this new sailboat bundle!! Love the texture and your coloring!
Aaaw, thanks so much Cheryl. xxx
So fabulous! As you say, we started from the same source but wow – different directions after that! I love the subtle rainbow as the colours bleed up from the sea through to the sky. Even the embossed pattern of both panels line up! You always pay attention to the details like that! I love this. I hadn’t even wanted that sail boat bundle until now!! 🙂
Hey Jan …thank you. And the fact that you noticed the embossed panels lining up just means we are on the same creative wavelength! xxxx
Cheryll, I love that you truly captured feeling of the Anne Marie’s card with the colors you used and it works so well. It is beautiful!
Thanks so much Teri! xx
This is such a beautiful idea to CASE Anne Marie’s first project with us. I LOVE your card Cheryll. This is a favourite set of mine. Thank you for enabling this special hop to happen this month. 💗
Thanks so much Rochelle! xx
