Welcome once again to Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop, travelling around the world through every time zone. You may be starting your walk Around the World here or you may have come from the blog of amazing artist Cazz Boylan! So lovely to be hopping with Cazz, her work is amazing!
Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop is the brainchild of Angie McKenzie, a wonderful friend and amazing paper artist. My name is Cheryll Miller, and I am so delighted to be a part of this varied and talented group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators.
This month, we are working with a colour challenge … and Angie gives us loads of leeway with a fabulous inspiration image, and the freedom to choose whichever colours we like based on this pic.

Garden Meadow Stamp Set and Die Bundle …
The Garden Meadow stamp set is a pretty little line art stamp set, filled with spring vibes. Maybe a strange set to use for the Autumn themed colour challenge … but I have used the image as my inspiration.

Can Wisteria be orange?
Not really … but Trumpet Flowers can be orange … so these are Orange Trumpet Vine flowers, hanging on my Garden Meadow arch. I have basically used the actual colour challenge image as my inspiration not only for the colours, but also for the layout.
I used Daffodil Delight, Tahitan Tide, Azure Afternoon, Gray Granite and Pebbled path, and for the flowers an other images, I used Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Mossy Meadow, and Pecan Pie.

The background is ink blended with Daffodil Delight, Tahitian Tide and Azure Afternoon to create the low sun highlight in the bright blue sky.
The arch has been cut with the die from the Garden Meadow Dies and Gray Granite Card. I stamped the Ray of Light background stamp onto the Gray Granite panel before die cutting. The rays direct the gaze into the arch.

I heat embossed the sentiment into the centre of the panel with White Embossing powder.
The “hanging trumpet vine flowers” are actually an upright floral image with grass at the bottom. I have flipped the image and after stamping/colouring/die cutting, I have adhered them behind the arch frame to create a lovely curtain of hanging orange flowers. So pretty.

I die cut the bushy background from the Garden Meadows dies out of Mossy Meadow card stock, and the long grass from Old olive cardstock. The grass is adhered over the Mossy Meadow bushes and then both are adhered behind the frame.
Once the frame with all it’s vine and bushes and grass has been adhered to the blended background, I layered it all onto a Pebbled path layer. I stamped and die cut some extra flowers and birds (they are representing my chooks, although I think they might be quails?), and added a die cut gate to the front of the frame.

A few scattered Brush Brass Butterflies finish of the front of the card.

It has been lovely to sit and do some very easy colouring for this card .. I used Memento Black ink for stamping and Stampin’ Blends for colouring. No fancy blending, the images are a bit small for that, just good old “colouring in”.
This is the Around the World on Wednesday design team! I am very excited to see how they interpret the colour challenge this month.

Next up we are are going to take a trip all the way across the ocean to Danielle Kassing’s blog in the Netherlands .. can’t wait to see what Danielle has created. I am going to grab a cuppa and check out all the projects … always so fun to see who everyone has interpreted the challenge.

Your mind moves in the most mysterious and magical of ways, Cheryll. I never know what I’ll find when I visit – I only know it will be stunning. Such detailing – the addition of the Ray of Light turns the window frame into a tunnel. And yes, wisteria can be orange – or at least, it should be!
