Majestic Mountain Dies are a new product coming out in the 2019 Mini Catalogue from Stampin’ Up!. Available from 3rd January 2020.
Welcome to my blog … Today we are having a little sneak peek at some new product coming out soon. The Majestic Mountain dies come bundled with the Mountain Air Stamp Set, and they are on page 52-53 of the new Mini Catalogue. Don’t have a copy yet? Be sure to request one here.
Today, I am participating in the Global Design Project Challenge #219, a theme challenge. And the theme is O Christmas Tree.
Majestic Mountain Dies!
As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I was able to “pre-order” products from the new and amazing Mini Catalogue. One of the products that jumped out at me was the Majestic Mountain Dies. They do co-ordinate with the Mountain Air Stamp Set however, it is the stand alone detailed tree die that really caught my attention, so that is what I have used today.
This is a combination of the inlaid die cut technique for the two background trees, and the stacked die cut technique for the tree in the foreground. The Inlaid Die technique is interesting with this die as you get different effects depending on which colour is behind the piece.
The twine is Whisper White Baker’s Twine, died with Bermuda Bay Pigment sprinkles. Simply mix some water and pigment sprinkles and then put the twine in the die water and mix it all about. Let dry throughly before using.
The greeting comes from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and the Star is on of the Copper Star Elements from the Brightly Gleaming Suite in the retiring Holiday Catalogue, making this a CHRISTMAS TREE.
I used Pigment Sprinkles on Shimmery White Cardstock to create coloured panels from which to die cut the trees. The colours used are Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green.
I also created a second card (which was the first one I made, however I mis-placed the trees and it was unbalanced. Solution? “Add More Trees” … of course! These side trees are die cut from a Pool Party Watercoloured background.
Which is your favourite? I did create this project on a Facebook Live over in my Stampin’ Up! Group if you want to see the techniques. The fast forward button is your friend! 🙂 You can watch without being part of the group, but if you want to be notified of upcoming facebook lives, make sure you join the group. The only thing we do in the group is facebook lives, so you won’t be bombarded with posts!
Pop on over to the Global Design Project page to see an amazing array of projects using this colour scheme.
