Go For Greece Blog Hop
![]()

Welcome to my blog! Today I am hopping with the Go For Greece Training Group, hosted by Kylie Bertucci. Kylie offers training for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. If you would like to see what Kylie offers in the way of training, take a look at her Facebook Demonstrator Training page.
The Go For Greece group are all working towards achieving the Stampin’ Up! annual trip this year, which is a trip to the Greek Isles for two people, with travel to and from Greece included. Wouldn’t that be amazing!?
Cue The Confetti
I can tell you that on the day that I reach my goal of achieving an incentive trip with Stampin’ Up!, I will certainly be cueing more than just confetti!

Picture Perfect Birthday Suite
How joyous is this card? I have used the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper and the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a celebration on a card.
Usually I use Lemon Lime Twist as an accent colour and it can totally lift a card from “so so” to “amazing”, whether you use the ink pad, cardstock or an embellishment. Today I am going for maximum lift, using Lemon Lime Twist cardstock as my base card and letting that almost neon colour be the star of the show.

The birthday hat is fussy cut from one of the patterned papers in the Designer Series Paper … yes I know, the dreaded “fussy cutting”! But wow, doesn’t it pop right off the page!!
There are lots of little elements in this card which come together to create a really festive feel.
- The patterned paper behind the party hat is from Naturally Eclectic and is a plain watercolour look design. I perked it up a bit by stamping the little sprinkle image all over it in Emerald Envy, creating my own unique Designer Series Paper.

- The confetti continues on the base card by stamping the other confetti image from the set diagonally across the card in tone on tone Lemon Lime Twist ink.
- Every celebration needs a little bit of bling, and the gold elements above and below the party hat are from the Painted Love Gold Vinyl Stickers, over Night of Navy cardstock.

- The gold is echoed in the riot of Gold Metallic thread behind the circular element.
- Dimension is added to the card with the little present topper stamped three times, each layer is cut out, rolled on the back to give it a slight curl and then put back together with mini glue dots. It is “just enough” dimension to create interest.

Here is the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set, available now from my online shop. My favourite greeting from this set is “Celebrate the Good Stuff”.
The Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper Stack is amazing too. It is 6″ x 6″ paper and one side of each design is a photographic image of bright, colourful party things, and the other side is a co-ordinating graphic pattern. With 48 sheets in a paper stack, 4 each of 12 double sided designs, you could create a ton of wonderful cards just using this paper, a folded card and a greeting.

The paper with party hats has more than one hat. They are all different colours, so I used another one to create a more muted card using Berry Burst cardstock. Well Berry Burst isn’t exactly a muted shade, but it is not quite as bright as the Lemon Lime Twist.

Such fun!! I initially created this card live on facebook in my VIP group. If you are one of my wonderful customers and have not yet joined the Sense of Whimsy VIP group on facebook, what are you waiting for? Head on over and request to join. If you have purchased from me or attended a class, you can join in the fun with regular card challenges, prize draws and weekly live project videos.
There are quite a few of us who are working very hard towards being a part of the Greek Isles trip, with some expert guidance from Kylie and other top demonstrators around the world. Won’t that be a Picture Perfect Party when we are all paddling in the clear blue Aegean sea and experiencing traditional bouzouki music and decadent seafood platters!!!
Here is the full list of hop participants. Hop around and take a look at everyone’s projects today.
