2016 2017 Stampin Up Catalogue

As I come up to my sixth year anniversary with Stampin’ Up! I have been reflecting on the influence becoming a member of the Stampin’ Up! family has had on my life. Some of the time, I have been purely a hobby demonstrator, purchasing quality product for myself at a great discount. However for a good part of the time, I have been operating my own craft business … and thoroughly enjoying it. I have met so many fantastic people as I share my love of crafting.

This post shares some of my favourite projects over the last 12 months … and a couple of brand new ones featuring product from the new catalogue.

The Balloon Celebration stamp set and Balloon Builder punch appeared in the 2016 Occasions Catalogue and I immediately fell in love with them. I went a little bit crazy with balloons … if you are regular viewer of my blog, you may have noticed! 😉

Balloon CelebrationThere are a heap of different ways to create the balloons from this set, let alone the many uses for all the other images also included. I was so thrilled to see the set and punch have carried over to the new catalogue. This was one of my favourite projects and you can see the full post here.

Another of my favourite projects was this one, which featured the awesome 2016 Sale-A-Bration set, Botanicals For You (which was my most favourite Sale-A-Bration set) and the Hello You Thinlits. The Hello You Thinlits also carried over to the new catalogue which is fantastic as I love these loopy font words! This project was only possible using the trusty Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp the words repeatedly with Whisper White Craft Ink on Vellum. The Watercoloured background worked perfectly. You know how sometimes a card just comes together … this was one of those. Click here to see the full post.

Because You're Awesome GDP018

I am really sorry to my regular blog viewers, however the new Swirly Bird stamp set and the co-ordinating Swirly Scribble thinlits are going to feature heavily in my projects for a while, and they come as a bundle at 10% off both. I love, love, love this set. There are just so many things you can do with it … you really only need this one set of stamps and thinlits!  …… Only joking!! But it covers a lot of bases.

Swirly Bird Birthday

For this card created just this week, I am using the flowery bits of the stamp set and dies.  How cute are these flowers?!!!  And the stamp set includes some texture (used in the background), and some little graphic flowers (up next to the words).  I even used the boat sail looking thingy to create the striped effect on the banner.  A swish of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush over the thinlits was the final “Tah Dah” touch! Love this pretty card so much.

Swirly Bird Birthday and Envelope

I stamped up a matching envelope with another floral stamp out of the set.

My grand daughter’s 2nd birthday is coming up next week, and I have been creating birthday party bits and pieces for her celebration.  This 3d project uses …wait for it … Balloon Celebration!!  The base is from Pyramid Pals thinlits set.  The fantastic Number 2 comes from the Number of Years Stamp set (and matching framelits), and those cute little swirls? … they are the waste product of cutting out the small swirl from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.  I did two of everything and then glued them back to back on either side of the wire, so it looks great no matter from what angle you view it.  The swirly things aren’t actually back to back, they are back to front … if you know what I mean. 🙂

Balloon Celebration 2nd Birthday

And this was another little 3d project which I created a month or so ago for a featured product class … the Curvy Keepsakes Thinlit is sooo cute!  The window is cut out of the front with the Stars Framelits and then acetate adhered on the inside. Oh, and I wouldn’t really give the kiddies buttons in their treat box! 🙂  Just for display I promise!

Curvy Your a Star 1

And another of my favourite projects was a scrapbooking page. I don’t do a lot of scrapbooking, but when I do, I like to include lots of stamping. This was a layout I put together using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set (wood mount or clear mount) and Blended Bloom (sadly discontinued) as the feature … I like this one so much, it is now framed. The full post is here.

I hope you have enjoyed my little trip down memory lane, and the peak at the new products. It was difficult to choose just a few.
