Coneflower Celebrations – Celebrating Around the World on Wednesday
![]()
This month for the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop, I am giving the lovely Coneflower Celebrations bundle one more bright and cheerful celebration before it disappears from my craft desk.

Welcome to another trip Around the World on Wednesday, where we hop our way around the globe through every time zone. You may be starting your journey here with me, or you may have arrived from the blog of the very talented Rochelle Laird-Smith — always a treat to see what Rochelle has been creating.
Around the World on Wednesday is the brainchild of the fabulous Angie McKenzie, a wonderful friend and endlessly inspiring paper artist. I’m Cheryll Miller from Sense of Whimsy, and I’m delighted to be hopping along with this clever, creative group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators.
The theme is “Celebrate” and I am celebrating lots of things ….
– Celebrating another successful class this week … and the girls made various versions of my Coneflower card.
– Celebrating the friendships I have made with my crafting buddies and fellow demonstrators, both locally and around the world.
– Celebrating the Coneflower Celebrations bundle … I love this one and it may just stay on the shelf for a little longer.
Coneflower Celebrations … goodbye, farewell and sayonara
For my project, I have gone bold, bright and beautifully paper-focussed, using the Coneflower Celebrations Stamp Set and Dies, along with a patchwork of Designer Series Papers including 2025–2027 In Color DSP, Homemade Sweetness, Florals in Bloom and Lovely Blossoms.

The colours are full of happy energy — Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger and Berry Burst — with a little Old Olive in the mix. I heat embossed the coneflower and butterfly, then added colour with blending brushes before die cutting. Super simple, but it gives such a gorgeous mix of bright and soft tones.
And that row of circles die? I have loved that little guy so much. It is one of those small detail dies that can be used everywhere and anywhere. The stamp set has now retired from the Last Chance List, although at the time of writing, the dies are still available — so this feels like a cheerful little celebratory farewell for a bundle that has brought me a lot of joy.
Step by step …
- First and most important, spend waaaaaay too much time selecting the five Designer Paper Designs for the card front! Celebrate the achievement once decision is made! Cut into strips and adhere to the Timid Tiger layer.
- The sentiment … more choices … but the theme was Celebration, so that made Celebrating You! a given. I used Timid Tiger ink to stamp this one and a die from another set (I am thinking Paradise Garden dies).
- I heat embossed the coneflower and butterfly images with WOW white embossing powder onto white card and then added colour with ink blending brushes. You can’t really see it here but the butterfly is stamped, embossed and coloured twice and then glued together just at the body … I bent the top butterfly up a little bit and popped two mini dimensionals under the top butterfly to hold that image up a little. So he looks wonderfully “fluttery”.
- I gave the coneflower some dimension also with doubled up dimensionals in the centre and glue dots just around the outside.
- White Baker’s Twine is threaded through the end of the little row of circles (cut from Timid Tiger) and threaded around the card, tied in a bow at the left hand side.
- Adding adhesive embellishments to finish off.

For class, there were options to mix and match different colours … and also the option to ditch the coneflower (why?). Apparently some people prefer a more minimalist look, so there were different styles. Instead of the large coneflower, we die cut some smaller flowers (Fragrant Layers Dies) to scatter about.
Which one is your fave?

My favourite is the one with Berry Burst, so that is what I have featured today.

And there you have it. A celebration all round. Luckily there is LOADS of fabulous new product in the May to August catalogue, so while I will shed a little tear not to be using Coneflower Celebrations any longer, I can always celebrate that I have so many other goodies to explore.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have enjoyed reading through how I created this one … and if you want to see even more great inspiration, don’t forget to hop on through all the designer’s projects below.
This is the Around the World on Wednesday design team! I am very excited to see everyone’s projects this month and check out how we are all celebrating around the world.

Click through each team member’s blog for loads of inspiration ….
Next up we are are going to take a trip all the way across the ocean to Marga Bultena in Germany. That’s quite a hop … and I am so excited to see what Marga has created.
I am going to grab a cuppa and check out all the projects … and get prepared to be inspired!
