Stamping Sunday Blog Hop – Gold Laser Cut Paper

Welcome to my blog on this second Sunday of November 2020. Today I am hopping with the Stamping Sunday Second Sunday team hosted by Sara Levin, the Artful Inker. This month we are focusing on the Forever Gold Laser Cut Paper from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

For this hop, I have elected to create a card and a 3d project, instead of my usual Beginner/Casual and Avid projects.

Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper

This amazing pack of gold laser cut elements is the perfect thing to have on hand when you want to add a touch of gold to any project.

Gold Mini Pizza Boxes

The Gold Mini Pizza Boxes pair beautifully with the Gold Laser Cut Speciality Paper … their levels of “goldness” equal each other.

I also pulled out the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper to select my background layers. You could choose a multitude of colour-ways with this gorgeous bright papers … I chose the pink/purple/blue tones. I used the Forever Gold round panel with attached foliage and I did have to cut away a couple of the leaves to allow easy access to the little “latch” on the gold box to lift the lid.

And did you notice the pinky coloured leaves behind the gold … they match so well. The reverse side of the Forever Gold elements is white and if you are gentle and work in the direction of the foliage, they are easily sponged. I used Melon Mambo on the rectangular element and then cut the leaves away to place behind the gold foliage spray. Keep the left over piece of gold paper for diecutting!

Flip it …

For my matching card, I used the same elements, but this time I used the reversed and sponged gold element as the feature. and popped some of the individual gold leaves behind.

The sentiment on both comes from the Beauty Abounds stamp set, punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch, and the butterflies are part of the large butterfly collage die from the Butterfly Beauty thinlits (die cut from the Artistry Blooms paper).

Adding some pearls coloured up with Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend finishes the projects.
