Impressions Abloom – Sketch and Colour Challenge – Stamping Sunday

Loading

Impressions Abloom Bundle is an Online Exclusive product, available individually or as part of a suite of gorgeous products. See links below to check them all out.

This month the Stamping Sunday team are using the sketches included in the Stampin’ Up!® 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue … have you seen them? They are on page 24 of the Annual Catalogue and are a great jumping off point for a card or tag design when you need a little bit of motivation, or just for fun.

We are also challenged to use one or all five the new In Colors showcased in the Annual Catalogue. My very favourite page in the annual catalogue is Page 121, which features the new colour family Designer Series Papers for 2025/2027. I love seeing all the In Colours together like this, and was inspired to create a project using all the new shades and the 2025/2027 Designer Series Paper, along with the Impressions Abloom Bundle.

Catalogue Sketches …

This is the card template I chose to use. And while my project isn’t exactly to the sketch, things evolve as you start to add elements. The sketch was a great jumping off point.

Design Tips

* The large oval feature panel is strips of 2025-2027 In Colour Designer Series Paper in varying widths, adhered to a panel of Basic White card and die cut with the large oval from Impressions Abloom dies. The fine oval frame has been diecut from Strawberry Slush cardstock.

* The background Designer Series Paper Panel is Cloud Cover and the edges have been inked with Cloud Cover ink. You can’t purchase Cloud Cover ink in the full size pad, but you can purchase the Cloud Cover Ink Refill and ink up an un-inked Stampin’ Spot.

* The flowers are from Impressions Abloom dies, die cut from Basic White card stock and inked with Strawberry Slush and Darling Duckling inks using a small blending brush. The flower centres have been coloured with Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blends. I left the very small flowers white to give a lighter pop of highlight.

* The leaves have been diecut from Cloud Cover card stock and Secret Sea ink added with small blending brush to add depth.

* The sentiment are two images from Impressions Abloom, “Thanks” stamped in Strawberry Slush and “For Being There” stamped in Secret Sea inks onto Darling Duckling Designer Series Paper (the splattery design). This oval shape is from Framed Scenes Dies and the edges have been inked with Strawberry Slush ink … I was surprised to see that this almost created a Timid Tiger shade.

* The ribbon is the Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon, cut in half lengthways to create a finer bow. It frays a little, but not too badly.

* Finally, a scattering of 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls finishes the card.

I am excited to see which sketches the other designers used, and how they have incorporated the new In Colors … hop all the way through the entire blog hop list to check out all the creativity. I am off to check out all the amazing designer’s projects now … don’t forget to leave comments as you go. We love comments so we know you are out there and looking at our creations.

See you next month.
xx Cheryll
