Hello and welcome to a very exciting blog hop for me! My first as a member of the All Star Tutorial Bundle Design Team. I am so very excited to be selected, along with Jackie Noble from New Zealand,to be a part of this amazing group of demonstrators.
The All Star team has created a ‘super bundle’ of 12 tutorials per month. You can subscribe to receive the tutorial bundle every month for six months.
But wait, there is more exciting news … Nathalie Rothwell OShea is a guest Design Team member in February so there will be not 12, but 13 tutorials in the bundle. Let’s take a little sneak peek at the tutorials for February.
All the tutorials feature current products from Stampin’ Up! and this month the bundle contains tutorials for Sale-A-Bration items. If you were looking for inspiration during this exciting time of the Stampin’ Up! year, look no further!
The Tutorial Bundles have both metric and imperial (inches) measurements. So no matter where you live in the world, you will be able to use these tutorials to create great projects. All of the design team offer the tutorial free with a purchase in our own markets, or you can purchase the tutorial without a purchase each month, or subscribe for all six months and receive the sixth month free.
Here is a sneak peek of my project in the tutorial. I used the Heartfelt Blooms Sale-A-Bration set.
To celebrate the launch of the February tutorial bundle, the designers are participating in a blog hop to celebrate all things Sale-A-Bration. I have chosen to highlight the same Heartfelt Blooms stamp set. This is NOT the project in the tutorial. The projects in the Tutorial Bundle are exclusive and you won’t see them anywhere else.
What I love about the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set:-
* You can create stunning projects quickly because the distinctive stamp design can stand alone without any fuss.
* There are many ways to colour the stamped image if you wish
* It is an elegant design suitable for many occasions
* And best of all … it is free with a purchase of AU$90 or more during Sale-A-Bration.
For my card today, I have stamped the full image on the inside of the card with Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White cardstock and then coloured with a sponge dauber and inks. I then sponged around the image with Sahara Sand ink.
The square window in the front panel of the Sahara Sand card is die cut with a Layering Square Framelit Die to reveal the beautiful image through the cut out.
The floral image is used to create a brocade fabric look background on the card front, around the square cut out. I have used Sahara Sand ink on Sahara Sand cardstock.
The greeting is also from the same stamp set and is stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black Archival Ink. Either end of the greeting panel is stamped with a small portion of the large floral image, again in Basic Black Archival ink. The greeting strip is then adhered to either side of the square cut out.
You can see I haven’t been precious about colouring the flowers showing through the cut out. Using a sponge dauber to colour with doesn’t allow a high level of precision, but it is quick and easy and allows the detailed texture of the floral image to show through the pastel colours.
A scattering of Glitter Epoxy Adhesive Dots completes the card.
Let’s hop!
The next designer in the blog line up is Erica Cerwin at Pink Buckaroo Designs (who would have ever thought I would have that sentence in one of my blog posts!). Hop on over and check out her fabulous project.
