Follow Your Dreams ….
Welcome to my blog on this second
Today I am

Beginner, Casual and Avid Crafters
The whole Beginner, Casual and Avid crafter thing is really floating my boat. I am know to be a little “over the top” with my cardmaking, so it is wonderfully refreshing to have a “keep it simple” brief. Which type of crafter are you?
Follow Your Dreams Stamp Set
The Follow Your Dreams Stamp
Remember, this bundle will only be available until 3rd June (unless it sells out beforehand) so get it while you can. It is amazing!!
For the Beginner Crafter …

Creating with Stamps, Inks and Paper only, this #simplestamping project was so satisfying to create. I used a Whisper White Note card, and just two ink colours, Balmy Blue and Soft Seafoam. I did use the Stamparatus for precision placement of the Dreamcatcher elements. And just a touch of Wink of Stella a a highlight in the centre of the Dreamcatcher.

For the Casual Crafter …

This next card is probably my favourite of the three. It is suitable for an intermediate crafter, adding punches and some embellishments into the mix. I have used the same ink colours, Balmy Blue and Soft Seafoam.

The Dreamcatcher has been heat embossed with White embossing powder onto a white folded card. Ink is then sponged over the top, and the embossed areas resist the ink.
I hand cut the feathers (assuming that the casual crafter may not have a die cutting machine), and punched the little central circular feature. That same stamp has been repeat stamped as a background with Soft Seafoam ink, and then stamped over the top with Frost White Metallic Shimmer Paint (I just smeared a little bit of shimmer paint onto a Silicone Craft Mat and picked the ink up on the stamp from there.

The addition of Basic Pearls finishes off this Dreamcatcher.
For the Avid Crafter

Yep … this is a Cheryll Over The Top Card! I made this one with the help of my VIP Customer group on facebook, and it was the first one made in this series. The ladies guided me along the way, choosing colours and giving “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” as we worked through the various elelments.
I love the exuberance of this card … the dreamcatcher is silver embossed on white card and then die cut. The smaller blue dreamcatcher is a detailed die and cuts wonderfully.

The background is brayered with Balmy Blue and Soft Seafoam, and then embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. Sadly, this lovely embossing folder is also retiring on 3rd June. Another thing to make sure you get a hold of before it is gone.

The word “dream” is a die from the Chase Your Dreams die set. It is die cut from Balmy Blue card and heat embossed a number of times with Clear Embossing Powder.
Which is your favourite?

Beautiful cards, Cheryll! It seems a simple thing but, the addition of the pearls to the dreamcathcher takes it to fabulous.
Hey Sara, Yes … there is a bit of story with the pearls, but they definitely make a BIG difference! 🙂 xx
