Parisian Blossoms Tutorial Bundle Sneak Peek

And here is my blog hop project …. while my blog hop project features the same Parisian Beauty stamp set and the Parisian Dies, this project is very different to my tutorial project.

Parisian Beauty

This card looks quite simple, however there are a few little design elements that might not be immediately apparent.

I didn’t have any Champagne Foil card on hand (which is the foil colour featured in the Parisian Blossom Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Petal Pink matting layer and in the swirl die cut just didn’t have enough “oomph”! So Shimmer Paint to the rescue. I sponged Champagne Mist Shimmer paint around the edges of the matting layer and also onto the die cut swirls. Instant Ooh La La!!!

The other layers are a more subtle design from the Parisian Blossom Specialty Designer Series Paper, the metallic script paper die cut with a Scalloped Stitched Rectangle from the So Sweetly Stitched Dies, and lastly, there is a hint of softness created with a piece of Vellum, embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

The Eiffel Tower is Silver Embossed onto Petal Pink cardstock and the Merci word is die cut from Black Card (softened with a lick of Champagne Mist shimmer paint). A final scattering of Basic Adhesive Sequins in Petal Pink completes the card.

I did run into an issue with the die cut word Merci … I had lifted up the Eiffel Tower with Dimensionals and wanted to place the die cut word so part of it was across the Eiffel Tower. Solution? I cut a small piece of the same script paper in a curved shape similar to the Merci word and just big enough to hide any dimensionals. You can just see it in the pic below, but it certainly doesn’t take away from the card design.
