Painted Poppies Bundle for Colour Inkspiration #70
Painted Poppies Bundle – The Painted Poppies Stamp Set and Painted Label Dies are just two elements from the amazing Peaceful Poppies suite of products, and they come bundled for a 10% discount.
Welcome to my blog … the Colour Inkspiration crew are back in 2020, and their first challenge for the year is a 70th birthday celebration. The challenge is to create a birthday card using your three favourite Stampin’ Up! colours.
In addition to your three chosen Stampin’ Up! colours, you can freely use Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, metallics and skin-tone blends. This is a really simple challenge to enter, just create and post into the group on facebook!
So, what three colours did I choose?
Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Mango Melody
This was a really difficult decision, how to choose just three colours? In the end, I couldn’t choose. I created two projects … this one and another brighter project (below). I love them both, but this is the one I have put up for the Colour Inkspiration challenge as I missed the “birthday theme” memo and the second card is a thank you card.
For my project today, I have used Pretty Peacock as the base card and for colouring the leaves using Stampin’ Blends. Those cute little Pretty Peacock facetted gems are from the 2019-2021 In-Color Faceted Dots. The sentiment has also been stamped with Pretty Peacock ink, and this one comes from the co-ordinating Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.
The Mint Macaron elements are the background layer, embossed with the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder. That delicate lacey border element is a die from the Painted Labels Dies, cut three times and adhered together to resemble one continuous line. And the greeting panel is another die from that same Painted Label Die Set. It has an elegant embossed border which I love.
Mango Melody is the focus colour, with the poppy flowers stamped with Memento Black ink and then coloured with Light and Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend Combo. The strip of Mango Melody card behind the flowers really accentuates this colour.
My second “favourite colour combo” choice is a bright one!
Blackberry Bliss, Lovely Lipstick and Mango Melody
Same design, different colourway. They only different (other than colour) are that I used three little Frosted & Clear Epoxy Dots coloured up with Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend, and the Thank You greeting from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
