Silhouette Scenes for Kylie’s International Blog Highlight Winner’s Hop
The Silhouette Scenes Bundle includes the Silhouette Scenes Cling Stamp Set and the Sweet Silhouettes Dies.
Welcome to my blog … today I am hopping with an amazing group of talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators as part of Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights Winners for November. We were the top 10 winners this month and we get to hop with Kylie today, featuring projects reflecting the theme of Encouragement.
If you would like to participate in Kylie’s International Blog Highlight in December, here is the event with all the information you will need to highlight your project. https://www.facebook.com/events/420792918833207/
And here is my project for the hop …. the good thing about the theme of Encouragement is that it covers a lot of scenarios! My project today was created for a family member who has recently made the decision to retire from a lifetime, much-loved job to go travelling. I was so excited for her to take this step outside her comfort zone.
Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set and Sweet Silhouette Dies
I love this bundle … the stamp set features amazing silhouettes and greetings. The dies feature the tree branch I have used today and a sweet dandelion, plus three script words …. Inspire, Forever and Adventure. I would recommend you get both at the same time bundled at 10% discount off both. Get more information on the bundle here.
This card looks complicated but that beautifully coloured tree branch is simply die cut from the co-ordinating See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper, no mess involved!
I have featured Pretty Peacock as my base card .. how amazing is this colour!! And the little girl looking through her spyglass has been stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and then with Versamark ink (the Stamparatus is invaluable for precise placement), before being heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Soooo touchy feely!
The Copper Foil frame is cut from the Stitched Rectangle dies … I love how you can get stitching on the inside and outside edges of frames with these must have dies. Seriously, if you don’t have them yet, you really, really need to get this die set.
The very subtle stitched rectangle in the background has been embossed onto the card stock using the dies, but run through the die cutting machine with a Silicone Craft Mat instead of a clear plate.
And the word Adventure has been die cut from Mint Macaron card … what a great word!! I do love the beautiful words in the Sweet Silhouette dies …. “adventure”, “inspire” and “forever”. All positive words that I am using in my projects wherever I can!
If you would like to see how I created this card, check out my facebook live in my Stampin’ Up! Group here or click on the image below.
Join me live on Wednesdays to create projects with Stampin’ Up! products. Click here to head on over to my Stampin’ Up! group, join the group and get reminders to join me live next Wednesday 27th November, 2018 for a morning crafting session (Tuesday evening in the US and Canada). The group is purely somewhere to host my lives, so you won’t be bombarded with lots of other information.
I also created a lighter version of this card, just because …..
Other than using a different shaped Whisper White base card (C6 folded) and Champagne Foil Card, the other differences with this card are the silhouette figure and greeting have been stamped with Basic Gray ink, and the die cut word “adventure” has been hand coloured with Pear Pizzazz ink and then clear embossed to create an enamel look.
Below is the list of winners hopping with Kylie today, make sure you check them all out and leave a little encouraging comment.
