Stamping Sunday Blog Hop – Stitched All Around
![]()

Welcome to my blog on this second sunday of July … today I am here with the Stamping Sunday Second Sunday team for our July blog hop hosted by Sara Levin, the Artful Inker. Today we are featuring another bundle from the not quite so new Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue, Stitched All Around Stamp Set and the Stitched Labels Framelits.
Stitched All Around Bundle

The die set is going to be incredibly versatile, with a range of great labels featuring wonderful stitched elements, all of which are going to suit so many different greetings. Of course, they all co-ordinate with the Stitched All Around Bundle, so that is a great place to start!
Layer upon Layer upon Layer ….
The circular die works beautifully with the two circular greetings in the stamp set. The image has the look of lots of layers just on it’s own, but add it to the die cut and that adds even more layers. I stamped the greeting again on Coastal Cabana card and cut out just the “Thank You” making it into a little flagged banner shape to go over the top … this highlights the actual greeting part of the image.
I have utilised the textural images in the stamp set with the cross stitching in Mint Macaron on the Mint Macaron banner, and the long border image repeat stamped in Soft Seafoam on the Soft Seafoam base card.
I have mixed up the Designer Series Papers on this card … the banner strip is leaves from the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper. And the flowers are fussy cut from the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. While they are not exactly the colours used in the card, the small touches are similar enough to co-ordinate.

Design Elements
Layer up the colours – Choose the colour scheme and then just layer the different elements in each colour. I chose soft toning colours (Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron and Coastal Cabana) and one contrast colour but still in soft tones (Petal Pink). Even though there are a lot of intricate elements in this stack, they don’t look too busy because the colours are consistent.
Introduce a touch of black – The little touches of black keep the card from being too wishy washy and provide a total contrast to the soft pastel tones.
Beaded Gift Box
I made a little matching gift box with the super easy flat pack Pizza Boxes. If you are averse to hand stitching, look away now! 🙂

There is a die in the Stitched Labels Framelits that makes this little cross stitch pattern. It is super cute and one of my sewing friends (thank you Joan) suggested that it would be perfect for stitching seed beads onto. So that’s what I did! Super easy, and adds a real wow factor to your project.

These projects are not what you will see in the Stamping Sunday Tutorial Bundle for July. All the projects in the tutorial bundle are exclusive and you won’t see them anywhere else except in this bundle. The projects feature the Stitched All Around Bundle and the Tropical Chic Bundle.
